Integrated Stainless Steel Sliding Door Drains URBAN Series stainless steel sliding door channel and grate solves all of the issues with regard to threshold drainage for both domestic and commercial construction.

No longer is it an issue to have both inside and outside at the same finished level, creating the sensation of enhanced space and eliminating trip hazard.

By using URBAN Series sliding door track the bottom rail of any make of sliding door system can be totally encapsulated by the stainless steel trough ensuring there is no seepage of water under or around the sill for the length of the door, as all moisture runs into the stainless steel trough and any additional run off can enter through the grate. This system accommodates from a single sliding door up to any number of multisacking door systems.

Architectural Tension Bar Systems

TIE bars are increasingly being used in structures and buildings as an architectural as well as a structural element.

Ancon Tension Systems comprise a range of components that can be used to create a variety of assemblies, from simple tie bars to complex bracing systems involving several bars joined at one point.

Systems comprise fork connectors, locking nuts, bars, anchor discs and couplers. Components are available in various bar diameters from 8mm to 42mm in carbon and stainless steel. Systems can be supplied in a variety of finishes to provide corrosion resistance and to meet the aesthetic requirements of many architectural applications.

Finishes include zinc plated carbon steel and

handpolished stainless steel. The system can be extended over the maximum available bar length by the inclusion of couplers or anchor discs.

Ancon Tension Systems can be used in a variety of applications including roof structures, timber construction, canopies and glazed structures.

Designer Rail: Timber & Stainless Combined

BRAND new to the Hammersmith Handrail Collection is the Designer Rail, combining the warmth of timber with the modern look of stainless steel to produce a sleek stylish handrail.

The range includes 43mm diameter timber dowel available in sustainably managed Australian timbers such as Victorian Ash and Jarrah; as well as 316 stainless steel fittings that are suitable for exterior and interior use. These fittings include; end caps, adjustable elbows and 90 degree bends, that when combined with the timber dowel will allow for continuous hand railing.

Until now, trying to combine timber with stainless has been

difficult due to the problems of joining together two different types of materials. The Designer Rail solves this problem with the simple use of a plastic connector. The connector fits easily to the end of the timber dowel, and then with the help of silicone the specially designed stainless fittings will slip over the end of the connector to produce a near seamless join.

The Designer Rail conforms to Australian Standard Design for Access and Mobility, and as such can be used in hospitals and aged care facilities; as well in domestic applications such as balcony railing or wall railing for a staircase.

QuietWave – Silence of the ‘Walls’

AS the density of our population increases, apartment buildings are becoming a new way of life.
