A new I-Nation has been discovered!

It has been named “In10City” by Con Fessori, a professor who retired even before he could finish­ his studies. He founded In10City beside the land of Incapacity, located at the heart of Continent of Incontinence.

A bunch of us, Mavericks, were roaming around an old park for amusement when we spotted a tired old soul trying to start a ship. The ship’s destination board read:

We got curious and decided to approach the old soul. He introduced­ himself as Captain Con Fessori and explained to us about the Virtual Nation he has discovered and that he needs help to push-start his vessel.

We were extremely interested in his mission and the exciting new state he can bring us to. Thus, we struck a deal to sail with him to In10City since we were doing nothing anyway.

Captain Con Fessori, has already informed us that, during the journey we will be gaining a lot of experience in Turbulence, as the journey will be through various avenues of Calamity, that no ambulence can reach.

The Captain has also generously installed radio equipments in the ship, so our conversations can be heard by all. Captain Con Fessori has given us all an “RJs title” using which we would be interacting with you, along the way.

Since In10City is a virtual nation with no geography or history, no race or religion, no law or language, no nothing, our task would be to build values for In10city in the air along the way.

We do have plans to bring aboard more as we sail and we do expect things to get more exiting en-route.

The captain has estimated 22.12.2012 to be the arrival date at In10City.­Having boarded his ship, our task now is to countdown­ to our destiny...I mean destination.

An IT analyst and a free thinker who received an opportunity to analyse life while living­ in it. He switched his career to be a freelancer quite early and thus, got to experience­ LIFE from an outside perspective. He has spent most time being an observer of life and has been researching and relating various aspects of life. He lives in his own style.­­ Phrasing or framing questions is the art of living to him. Giving birth to questions and giving a berth to it is his art of living. In his philosophy, questions are the magic key that opens very complex locks in life. RJ Melancholetta believes that the entire point of existence is to question everything­ from the system to the sciences. She is highly analytical and critical of mainstream schools of thought including organized religions, moral codes and institution-sponsored­­indoctrination.

RJ Melancholetta believes that conservative mindsets are merely umbrellas to protect­the ignorant from those who dare to go against the grain and roast the meat in the process. She is just another soldier in the mental militia that is our existence, but she is also an idealistic little girl at heart.

Welcome to our readio, Dr. Crooks. Thank you for offering to explain the general warning­ that you have issued. Why do you say that listening to the Readio can be injurious to those wrongly married?

Good Heavening Listeners! It is great to be on the official­ broadcasting station for In10city. We are working on many power-packed programs and talk shows. This station is created­ to get into real life problems of common people.

According to past researches, no one knows exactly how marriages­ came about since the founders of the institution are long gone. It has just become a way of life and the teachings of marriages­ are being passed on traditionally. Like how cigarettes are being smoked, people too have been smoking­marriages for a long time without knowing why it is required.

Many have assumed that it is because marriage has been made available as a present by the past. Many also do not know the difference between the words “wedding” and “marriage”.­Some get wedded because they are married, and some get wedded­to see whether they would get married. Some remain married but never get wedded.

Predominantly, marriage is being used as a veil for sex, for it to be unveiled or revealed. There are also many who struggle inside the veil, not knowing­ how to get out. Some get entangled more when they attempt to untangle.

Some enjoy their success in marriage by producing many babies­and by doing so, conveniently push the problem to the next generation. Thus, we see many offsprings struggling to find a partner. Some of those who find a partner have a pompous­ wedding and invite everyone they know. However, when it comes to divorce, they do it silently and do not even send us a notification. They never seek society’s­help to get untangled and only need our help to get entangled.­ The world has also seen couples dating for eight to ten years; they think that they are just about to get to know the meaning of “marriage”. It is only when they divorce after­a couple of years after their wedding, that they find they got wedded after being unable to find the meaning of marriage.

But the worry now is future, for past is past and nothing­ can be done about it. While migrating Life to In10City,­we plan to wash Life and all its concepts and components clean.

This sudden revelation can wake up those who have given up on Life, and resume acting on it.

But in our philosophy, we see marriage as a disease that has been spreading into humanity and any cure is actually an injury to the disease.

We have to understand that as a society today, we are a consequence of the marriage institution. From a holistic perspective, we can also say that we have been orphaned here by the marriage system of the past.

Now that we are here, we have to remind ourselves that we are in a democracy. There is no one up there who can resolve­ our problems and we have to resolve things ourselves in an amicable manner.

Parents have done a great job in providing us with an education.­ Now that we have advanced, we can see that our parents lag behind in education. Therefore, it is our duty to return­it and give them a proper­education by sending them to schools systematically and planning their remaining and next life.

It is time for the old school of thoughts to go to new school. We spend more time in setting up their computers and teaching­them how to cut and paste, how to click with the mouse and so on.

Is it that we all have been made to accept something called “gender” that we find it so difficult to maintain it? The theory is easy but the application is not. How long more do we go on with bugs of gender?

If a king’s wife is called “queen”, then how can it be that an unmarried woman who accedes to the throne is also called “queen” and not a “kingi” or a “kingess”?

If she gets married later on, will she make a wife or a husband out of her spouse?

Is that why a queen’s spouse has never been conferred a King?

In India, male rulers are called “Raja” and female rulers are called “Raji”. Yet, a Raja’s wife is called “Rani” and a Raji’s wife is never called a “Rana”!?

Is so much of a change required when a change happens to the gender on the throne?

Yes, I have read that sex is biological but gender is developed. This simply means that our gender is determined by society and its laws on femininity and masculinity on what is considered­ womanly and manly. We abide by socially-set gender roles everyday and by doing so, we accept them and they form the ultimate basis of our identities.

I definitely feel that gender is something that has been imposed on us by society. While it is by the law of society and modern civilization to rule that a human born with a vagina is naturally a woman and a human born with a penis is naturally a man, transgender­people feel otherwise.

Perhaps, this could even be considered as a desperate attempt to conform to the norms of society and adapting it to oneself. However, it leaves me to wonder if our true gender is indeed hidden in our soul.

Do you think if the soul was ever considered when gendering or was it ignored as it is just another common human component that exists in both genders such as eyes, ears, nose, hands and legs?

Was it ignored just because it has no physical appearance?

I think that gendering must have always been thought of as something superficial and shallow as opposed to how the soul feels. This is because like you mentioned earlier, a soul is seen to many as something common like ears, limbs and so on.

Most of us never tend to really ponder about the deeper implications of gender unless­ we feel conflicted about the gender we live in. Transgender individuals often state that their souls are not truly meant to be the gender they were born with.

They feel so conflicted that they have come to realize that gendering may be deeper and much more complex than just differentiating genders by sex organs.

I would nick name transgender people as “Those with Guts”. Declaring oneself­ as a transgender requires sheer boldness as one is emerging as something very different from this conferred society.

But here again, their limited knowledge and experience in life makes it difficult­ for them to express themselves well. This makes them distinguishable­and they will be declared as an exception.

However, they know not that the problem does not lie with their feelings, but with the acceptance by the majority without questionings. Transgender­people feel compelled to choose a gender and are basically having an identity­crisis.

Psychologically speaking, we can say that they are left naked out there since they cannot fit into either of the gender roles. Thus, they grab any robe that comes their way to dress themselves up. Transgender is one such robe by the psycho tailors.

Why can’t it be that our forefathers made a blunder in observing or understanding­the nature of humankind?

Where did the “creator” say anything?

But by your statement, do you agree that soul and body are two different entities, or do you consider soul as just another common part of body?

So can we say that gender has not passed the test, and hence we don’t take it to In10city as of now?

Gender not passing the test does not mean that it is not worthy to be taken to In10city Values have to be taken to in10city whether they pass the test or not. Don’t you think so?

We are forming a new nation here, a fictitious nation for intellects where physical differences have no value.

At this moment, gender seems more like a physical difference.

Also, not passing the test does not mean that it has failed. It only means that it is under contention, awaiting more validating arguments. Once we have proof that gender exists, we will then have to determine whether it is static or dynamic. After which, we determine ways for its application.

All issues need to be contended outside in10city. There can be no differences in opinions in the State of In10city. If a common consensus is unattainable, it will then become a part of the individual characteristic for a person to choose and not a part of common law. It becomes an adornment by choice, like an individual’s preference to wear jeans, shorts or frocks.

I honestly believe that there is no mistake on the part of the creator. We are given bodies­ and souls, but it is society that assigns gender roles to people with certain physical body parts.

I have often heard transgender people say that they were given the wrong body.

Perhaps­ it is not that some of us were given the wrong body, but the mere fact that the creator gave us all random bodies with the soul of one or more genders, all which have been subjected to certain gender roles assigned by society.

Why is it that a penis cannot be feminine and a vagina cannot be masculine?

How is it that a body organ can determine our gender when they are just physical parts?

What if from the beginning, society had assigned masculine roles to a body with a vagina­ and feminine roles to a body with a penis?

Why can’t the organs be both masculine or both feminine?

Is there a gender at all in the first place?

Who has more living experience in the world?

Those who lived 100 million years ago or we who live now?

Why can’t it be that they misconceived something and made it a wrong rule?

You are absolutely right, RJ Fox. I have heard of people born with a single sex organ but feel as though they are both male and female in their souls. This has led me to believe­ that genders could merely be a myth or a label that we, human beings, have created to segment ourselves. Some other labels include heterosexual, homosexual and even something seemingly unquestionable, like ethnicity.

I definitely am starting to believe that they did make the mistake of assumptions by creating gender labels for human beings and hence, segmenting them in the process. If this is true, then perhaps nothing is what it is and what it is what it isn’t, to quote Alice in Wonderland. A girl is a girl because society says that she is in accordance to assumptions­ of their ancestors. A boy is a boy because his organ requires him to adhere­to the rules and ways of one with a penis. When we remove these rules and conventions,­there is nothing left but physical mass and soul. Gender therefore becomes nothing more than a meaningless label.

Captain Con Fessori It is all culture and cultivation.

I observe gender divide as the worst possible divide and rule infused into humanity. It has crippled human intellect for ages.

Gender division is nothing but a membrane infused into our members,­ kept by remembrance.

Yes, I believe that we certainly would still be asking these questions as we would be in the same boat if the opposite were true as it is now. I guess this only goes to show that genders are indeed meaningless.

Haha. Good question. So would it have been male dominance or female dominance­then?

Have we observed that psychologically or invariably, we have made one of them a female and one of them a male, without which we can never live.

If we would still be questioning on the assigned gender names for males and females should their names had been reversed since the beginning of time, then the issue here is not which should be called what but the just the concept and idea of attaching names to something.

So then, if a person could imitate the sounds made by a pig and since both of them are omnivores, then can the pig be called man and the man be called swine?

RJ Fox

That is a beautiful tone you are bringing into the argument. Humans have capability­ to imitate and thus, we can say that they have been imitating trained genders of the past without a clue as to whether or not it is their original self or intended to be self. Aspiring models and dancers are such examples of humans trying to imitate.

So, the question to answer is “Have we been imitating the gender?” Humans have a long history of mimicry characteristic, which other creatures never had except for probably, the parrot. Based on behavioral patterns, we term some humans as pigs, dogs, bitches, etc. Also, “parrot-style” is an expression that is commonly used. But what would we have done if a pig could speak a few words? Would we have called it a human?

If you think a bit deeper, this is exactly what happened to females since they were kept as cattle in a husbandry and kept by a man. Proof of which already exist in the word “husband”. There is also proof that at one point of time, they never thought that females can speak, think or talk. Imagine a human who is kept away from civilization­ and is being bred in a cattle shed amidst pigs, sheep, cows and such.

What else can he or she do apart from making sounds like the cattle?

I was once married but now, I am free. You would think that you already know a person inside out because you had been in a relationship with him for eight years. You would think that you know his every mood swings and his every worst attitudes. Some of your attitudes may clash because of your personal differences, but when you are in love, you are in your best. When you are in love, you are hopeful. Hopeful that his negative traits would change.

In my case, they did change... For the worst.

After eight years in a serious relationship, we got married. But the marriage only lasted for three years. I have always believed that being engaged is a preparation and an adjustment for all couples-to-be. For the ladies, so that they can start contemplating on a life of being a wife, internalizing on the domestic duties and responsibilities. I did all I can to be the best wife.

After the wedding, he became irresponsible in every meaning of the word. I enjoyed doing household chores so I do not mind doing it all by myself. However, he became deliberately dingy. Since he had no work, I also became the provider. But he started getting involved in bad credit and soon, I became the “man” and “woman” in our marriage. Despite all these, I was still a very submissive wife. And then he learned to hit.

That was when I realized that I no longer deserve the treatment I was receiving. Therefore I ended our marriage, and that was four years ago. When I asked him to leave, he left. I never cried because I lost a husband. On the contrary, I felt relieved that he was gone. I cried because the marriage had been broken and that I spent 12 years on the wrong man. That experience never led me to question on who gets to own the title “husband” or “wife” or to question the validity of marriage.

I still believe in marriages and that wives should be submissive to their husbands. But it left me pondering on some questions and conclusions in relationships.

- Are men insecure when their women tend to be more successful?

- Do men have the propensity to be irresponsible when their women are very responsible?

- Is there such a thing as “compatibility in incompatibility”?

- Who ruins a marriage: husband or wife?

Hi all, gender differences are real to me because it is just not mere anatomical differences.­­ In spite of all these assumptions and name labelling, there is one species of the humankind that has a genetic make with an XY chromosome that differentiates it from the species with an XX chromosome.

No matter what the arguments may lead to, the species with an XY chromosome has a hormone testosterone which shoots up and is far greater than the species with an XX chromosome. On the other hand, the species with an XX chromosome has far greater amounts of estrogen levels over the other species.

Also the species with an XY chromosome only can produce sperms and the other with an XX chromosome only can produce eggs.

Now, we all know that it requires a sperm and an egg to fuse to produce another offspring.­ Here, if there were not two distinct types of species, how could we all have come into existence? We were made distinct and different right from the very beginning.

My point is if gender differences were only man-made, then why can’t two of the XY species­or two of the XX species copulate to produce an offspring? Can anyone answer that for me?

The word “human” is just to differentiate us from the other kind of creatures.

However, if we had been labelled as a “crow” or an “ant” for that matter, we would have accepted it long back, yet with two distinct genders!!

Can you clarify whether sperms have XY chromosome inside them or eggs have XX chromosome inside them? And which of these came to evolution first? Were the genders identified after the chromosome and declared as male or female, or were they discovered in a world where genders were already established? What are the differences between a penis and a vagina and a XX chromosome and a XY chromosome?

Why are there males with breasts and nipples, however small they are, and women­ with no breasts compared to most males?

Even if gender is accepted, how different is it?

RJ Phlox, in my comprehension, two of XX or XY species producing an offspring­is possible. Maybe that was how we evolved from a single specie to a dual-specie.

But is the difference gender or models? Take cars for example, there are model A and model B, deluxe and super-deluxe, models with certain features,­ etc. But at the end of the day, both are still cars. Lets take mobile phones for the matter too. Some models have additional features and some may have

some other features. Why could it not be /Male A and Male B/ or Female A and Female B is the question.

This is exactly what happens for the case of homosexual marriages. Couples were asked to declare themselves as Party A and Party B. Why and why not as husband and wife? Or why not both as husbands or both as wives?

The species with the XY chromosome produces sperms. This species is labeled as “male”. Anatomically, he has a penis and a nipple. Now, when it comes to males and females having breasts and nipples, we know that we are classified under “mammals”. This means that we all have mammary glands.

As to why some males having bigger breasts than females, I have only seen it on overweight­ males and they lack the firmness, structure and beauty that belongs only to the females. Why do you go and study in such detail and then ask why?

Why should it be identical? Just because they are identical twins, we still only determine their gender based on their genital. Computers have software and hardware, therefore can we classify this as gender in computing? It has been ages now since the terminology had come into practice. But we now know that there is nothing soft about software and nothing­hard about hardware. I simply see it as an illusion. All that glitter is not gold and any other thing only paves its way to the next. A spring gives way for summer which gives way for autumn which gives way for winter. Life will get stupid to me if I have to attach God to every micro breath and every sneezes. You need an eye through which the magnificence can be perceived and you also need a brain to register it. Who gave all that and what should one do after attaching everything to God? What next? Keep sitting in a corner­ and thanking him all day and expect money to be gifted? Most of us see this as a magnificence since we are raised as cattle and habituated at home, without ever being allowed to see the larger picture of the world.

But for someone who experiences the larger picture like an urchin or a shepherd, these scenes are just like home for the person and a day to day phenomenon.­The birds and animals experience them and live as a part of them. I agree with everything you said RJ Phlox! This is what we call “nature”. Are there any answers­to why is it so? Why is there night and day? There are also places like Norway where nights are very short whereas some places get extended­ nights. Has God got anything­ to do with it? True, I might be an illusion­ too, just an imaginary character, like a cursor on the computer. Whatever I thought is real is an illusion and whatever I thought as an illusion­ is the reality.­ It is as simple­ as you and me being worlds apart. Just communicate with all these words. Once the word is read and understood, its job is over. We too, are such words carrying a meaning to deliver to another. Illusion is not believing­anything­ of what is being­said, since we are not present in person. As to thanking­God, there should be a limit especially­when it comes to imposing it on others. God is a supernatural power that controls many things. Are we made to believe this so as to make us weary that there is someone out there to punish us for our wrong doings? Many times, I ask myself questions and then try to find facts that can prove the existence of God. I heard that there is a temple in a small village in UP. It is Lord Shiva’s temple and the Shiva Linga changes its colour. It is of different colour during morning, afternoon and evening. If you go there with the intention of noting the colours of the Linga, you will never be able to remember once you enter the garbh graham. The same thing happened to me, until I am out of the temple, I will remember to carefully note down the colour but once inside, I totally forgot! Therefore, I believe that there was some divine force making me ignorant of the colours.

Yes, I am fine with discussing about the subject and I do not mind answering your queries­ either.­But I actually do not have that much experience as I have only been in two relationships.­ One with someone of my age group and the other with my current beau who is 48 years old.

I feel that often, once is enough to observe what men my age are looking for in a woman.­ The level of maturity between older and younger men though not always a constant, is strikingly different.­ While I have encountered older men with the mentality of an 18 years old, I would definitely­ have to say that most men in their 40s and 50s have their priorities set straight.

I believe in the cliche phrase that “age is nothing but a number” and that you are as old as you feel. This is what I believe spiritually but yet, my physical desires contradict this greatly. I for one, have always been attracted to older men in their 40s and 50s and on a physical level, there is a myriad of reasons for this. I find greying hair to be especially appealing­and the masculinity exuded by only older men in a business suit or any other kind of corporate wear is extremely attractive.

Physicalities aside, I would have to say that I am an idealist and a romantic. I know these two words, when coupled together, sound completely redundant, but I shall explain.

When I was 12, I picked up a novel which explained to me in great detail a “condition of the heart” that I had had for the longest time. I learnt that there were indeed others who had conceived­love between an older man and a younger almost nymph-like girl in a spiritual­way. That novel was Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita. I found myself relating to the young girl in the story whose maturity preceded that of other children her age and this played an important­ part in the love she had and the attraction that she felt for older men along with her obvious­“daddy issues”.

To answer your question, yes I do believe that age matters when it comes to relationships,­ depending on the level of maturity of both individuals. I was once in a relationship with a boy my age and needless to say, his immaturity served as a source of pure irritant.

One has certain priorities at a certain age in life and for young boys, the main priority is to have fun. I however seek to find a mate whom I can devote myself to. I feel that only when one party is older and more mature, he or she will be able to provide better nurturing to the younger one if that is what they desire.

As for sex, I am sure that it means different things to different people. Sex can range from mere sport to a matter of conquest to express love and consensual vulnerability.

It is the last two that I am interested in and I feel that only an older man possesses the maturity to offer me those things.

In both relationships and sex, it is important to be with someone of your own maturity level. I believe however, that age is more mental than physical because there are men who think like annoying teenagers and boys who are very mature for their age.

One of my reasons for dating only older men is that I find the physical age to be highly desirable. Technically speaking, virginity exists only for women because of the hymen.­ Spiritually however, I feel that virginity is a non-existent threat that is comparable to a black hood placed over our heads by social moral codes and by religious beliefs.

Therefore,­it is comparable to fear like what you have mentioned.

Yes, our perception of virginity is often moulded and put in place by books, media, religions­and family upbringing.

I am still a virgin techincally because I am seeking something extremely idealistic in a sense that I want to give it to a man who will be deserving of it. My reason for this is that I have certain issues from my childhood that are tied in with my sexuality as an adult.

Yes, virginity is indeed nothing more than a concept indoctrinated in us since a very young age. The fact that virginity varies in different societies and times is evidence of this.

In some societies, engaging in any form of sex, whether anal, vaginal or oral would be considered revoking one’s virginity. In other societies, only vaginal sex leads to “defloration”.­ In the old days having any kind of intimate physical contact with the opposite­sex would have been considered to be engaging in copulation.

We have indeed written a moral decree in stone about sex and the name is “virginity”.

“Virtuous” and “Gynophobia” when coupled together, makes perfect sense to me.

It points at morality and the need to preserve it in both genders. It also points at the fear in males about penetrating “the unknown hole”, otherwise known as the physical­ epitome­ of femininity and women in general. I can imagine that some women at a young age, must have been puzzled about what was down there too.

Yes I am aware that some words have gone through spelling changes and I know of its impact as well. This is because a word has no meaning on its own until we attach meanings­to it. Slowly, the word becomes the meaning that we as a society, attach to it.

Why is the “F” word a vulgarity when all it really denotes is the act of fornication?

Why is the word “sex” not a vulgarity since it is the meaning of the “F” word?

In my opinion, the moral code is simply a set of rules created by the collaboration of religion and self-righteousness.

It is not my aim to begin a gender war but I feel that more often than not, it is the males who create sexual moral codes based on their preferences regarding to what they want in a woman as well as their definitions of what a wholesome and pure woman is. When I say this, I am referring to the desire to marry a “pure” and “untouched” girl or at least a girl who has not engaged in sexual relations with many men. I am also referring to men who oppose abortions and highly successful career-oriented women. Some men regard these women as being sexually domineering and they consider it unacceptable.

When we think of organized religion, we think of men such as the pope, the priest, the preacher, the leader and so on. Religion sets the moral code which was mostly written by men (take the bible for example) and is currently being preached mostly by men.

The ones who set these standards most often do not adhere to them themselves, which certainly implies that they feel that they are above the social law or that the rules do not apply to them.

An example would be Catholic priests who preach about sexual morality but molests­children.­ Or men who expect their wives and girlfriends to be “pure” but are promiscuous­themselves.

In society, a promiscuous man is a Casanova who is admired greatly. However, a woman­ who does the same is a whore. A female pornography actress is often referred to as a “slut” while the man having sex with her on screen is considered the epitome of machismo.­ The rule makers definitely did not set the rules with themselves in mind. This is self-righteousness­ because society in general loves imposing on others but often fails to reflect on its own filth caked linen that it so sneakily hides in the storage room. The moralists­are amoral themselves because they like setting rules to segregate moral from immoral, but they do not care about moral limitations – what is right and what is wrong when it comes to their own behaviors.

Four husbands were sitting in the hospital waiting room waiting for their wives to give birth.

Soon, a nurse came out from the delivery room and told the first father,­"Congratulations, you have twins!"

"Oh! Maybe it is just a coincidence", said the first father, "I am working­at the Petronas Twin Towers."

Then, another nurse came out of the room and told the second father,­"Congratulations,­you have triplets!”

"Wow! This must be a coincidence too", said the second father, "I am working­for 3M Corporation.”

A while later, another nurse appeared and told the third father, "Congratulations!­your wife gave birth to quadruplets!"

Meanwhile, the fourth father-to-be was becoming very worried.

All three fathers asked him, "Why do you look so worried?"
