• Applicants must have a strong desire to study at Mae Fah Luang University.
• Applicants must be physically healthy without any diseases or conditions that might inhibit their ability to study.
• Applicants must have graduated from the upper secondary education level or according to the education system as follows:
• BRITISH SYSTEM
• AMERICAN SYSTEM
• NEW ZEALAND SYSTEM
• INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE (IB)
• BUSINESS & TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION COUNCIL (BTEC)
• Graduated from other systems according to the high school curriculum or equivalent according to the highest basic education curriculum of each country (Secondary School)
• Applicants must be approved by the schools to be eligible for admission.
• Applicants must have the qualification in accordance with the requirements in either 1. or 2., details as follows:
1. Applicants must have the English proficiency test result not less than the following requirements:
The test result should not exceed two years since the examination date.
2. Applicants must have graduated from high schools where English is the primary medium of instruction. Applicants must also submit a Certificate of English as Medium of Instruction issued by the school to the university.
• In the case that applicants do not have the English proficiency test result as stated in 1. and do not graduate from high schools as stated in 2. but have other academic qualifications that meet requirements of the programme, the School shall accept applicants with conditions as follows:
- Applicants are required to take the Placement Test prepared by the School of Liberal Arts. The Placement Test fee is 500 Baht per test . If the applicants have a passing score of 60%, they shall be accepted to study by the School.
- If applicants do not achieve a passing score of 60% on the Placement Test, they are required to enroll in the Intensive English Courses for one semester during their first semester of study until they achieve a passing grade.
Applicants are required to be able to use Thai in listening, speaking, reading, and writing at a competent level in the following programmes;

- Thai Traditional Medicine
- Traditional Chinese Medicine

• Applications for each programme are reviewed every one month until the seats are filled. This means that available seats for certain programme may be filled prior to the application deadline. If the application deadline of the last round has passed, all programmes will be closed for applications, even if some seats may still be available.

Remark: Damage Insurance Fee is a damage deposit. Upon graduation, this deposit will be refunded to the student if there is no outstanding balance on the student’s University account due to damages or any other charge.

: Complete new student information
• Complete all personal information and upload all necessary documents to the new student registration system

: Arrive at the MFU Campus
• Inform the Global Relations Division of your arrival details for pickup services from the Mae Fah Luang - Chiang Rai International Airport or Chiang Rai Bus Station (1 week in advance).
• Undergraduate international students are guaranteed dormitory rooms on campus for their first year of study at MFU.
