March 2: Norwalk

Animal Behavior Lab, The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk, 10 North Water Street, Norwalk. Guests will have hands-on experience designing and creating enrichment items for our most popular animals using food and other sensory items. Our Animal Husbandry department will add the enrichment you made to the animal’s habitat. Bring your observation skills to help the animal husbandry staff complete an ethogram, recording how the animals interact with the enrichment! Please note, registration is open to children ages 8 and above. Aquarium admission is not included with this program. If you would like to visit the Aquarium after the program, please purchase admission in advance of the event or on-site, day of. 8:30 a.m.

March 7: Norwich

Storytime at Slater, Slater Memorial Museum, 108 Crescent St., Norwich. Slater Memorial Museum is excited to partner with Otis Library for our very own storytime hosted at the museum on the first Friday of every month! Each storytime follows a unique theme based on an art object in the museum’s collection.

FREE First Friday of every month, 10:30am-11:30am

Women Take Flight, New England Air Museum, 36 Perimeter Road, Windsor Locks. Celebrate women in aerospace with Women Take Flight! Meet local women in the aerospace industry, participate in hands-on STEM

March 8: Plymouth Plymouth Congregational Church, 10 Park Street, Plymouth. Watch maple syrup boiling on an outdoor fire and learn to do your own backyard sugaring. Enjoy all things maple, including French toast, baked goods, baked beans, and sugar on snow, while listening to the fiddle music of Down Home Frolic. FREE 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m
