February 1: Ashford

Friends of Ecole Agape’s Chili Cook-Off - St Philips Parish Center, 64 Pompey Hollow Rd, Ashford. Warm up your winter with some delicious chili at our Chili Cook-Off event on February 1, 2025, from 12-3pm at St Philip’s Church, Ashford, CT. For just $15 per person, you can enjoy a variety of mouth-watering chili recipes and support a great cause. All proceeds will go to support the only free girls’ school in Haiti. Don’t miss out on this fun and flavorful event! 12-3pm, $15 per person, Children under 12 eat free.

February 1: Bristol

Mommy & Me Valentine’s Hair Bow Class, The Bristol Bazaar, 67 Race St, Bristol. For both those young and young at heart come get out of the cold and join Tawnie from TawnieBow and create your own custom extra large hair bow and set of mini bows of your very own to celebrate the Valentine season. This class is geared toward those 5 years old and above but everyone is welcome just let us know what age your child is so we can bring the best fabric and embellishment options. No experience necessary just come prepared to have fun and bring home your next favorite accessories. $30, 2pm - 3:30pm

February 2: Norwalk

Shark Safari (Educational Program), The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk, 10 North Water Street, Norwalk. In this drop-off style program, children start off examining shark teeth, jaws, and models, feel the sandpapery texture of shark skin, and learn how superb adaptations have allowed sharks to survive for millions of years in a wide variety of ocean habitats. This program is available for children ages 7 through 12. Aquarium admission is not included with this program. If you would like to visit the Aquarium after the program, please purchase admission in advance of the event or on-site, day of. $20 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

February 2: New London

2025 Breezeline Winter Cinema Series: Moana 2, Garde Arts Center, 325 State St., New London. Moana and Maui are BACK! After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced. Golden Globe Nominations: ONE Nomination Best Motion Picture, Animated. $15, 3pm

February 7: Norwich

Storytime at Slater, Slater Memorial Museum, 108 Crescent St. Norwich, Slater Memorial Museum is excited to partner with Otis Library for our very own storytime hosted at the museum on the first Friday of every month! Stories are best fit for ages 6 and under, but all ages are welcome! After storytime, families are invited to stay and explore Slater Memorial Museum for free! First Friday of every month 10:30am-11:30am. FREE

February 7-8: Middlefield

Winter Lantern Festival At Lyman Orchards, 70 Lyman Road, Middlefield. Step into a dazzling world of light with over 1000 Chinese lanterns; all handmade by artisans with decades of experience. February 23: Sandy Hook

Taylor Swift Cover Band Family Show, Aquila’s Nest Vineyard, 56 Pole Bridge Rd, Sandy Hook. Enjoy a 2 hour live performance of Taylor Swift’s classic hits. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a new Swiftie, we guarantee you’ll be “feeling 22” and dancing like nobody’s watching! $30, 12pm.

43rd Connecticut Flower & Garden Show, Connecticut Convention Center, 100 Columbus Blvd., Hartford.
