Chemistry
As a graduate of our bachelor programme in Chemistry, you’ll find ample career opportunities. You can pursue master studies, enter the chemical or pharmaceutical industries, or join academia. Our programme prepares you for success across diverse fields, including core chemistry, biological sciences and environmental studies. Our curriculum blends theoretical knowledge with extensive hands-on lab experience. Courses cover inorganic, analytical, organic and physical chemistry, and include biochemistry to help you understand biotechnology. Practical subjects such as applied informatics, statistics and process engineering further broaden your skillset. You can also complete a training semester abroad. Towards graduation, specialise in analytical chemistry or organic and pharmaceutical chemistry.

Full-time
Courses take place from Monday to Friday between 8.00 a.m. and around 8.00 p.m. (in exceptional cases on Saturdays).
English
The language of instruction is English. This prepares you for your international career in a multicultural environment.
6 semesters
The degree programme lasts 3 years, with a total workload of 180 ECTS. Graduates receive the academic degree of Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc).
22-week internship
You can quickly put into practice the expertise you have picked up during your courses. The internship is an obligatory part of the programme.
Study fee
EU/EEA citizens pay a study fee of EUR 363.36 per semester, plus the student union fee.

Your future after graduation
After graduation, you can pursue a related master degree or start your career immediately in various fields of chemistry. Our graduates find opportunities in diverse areas like biotechnology, the pharmaceutical and food industries, environmental agencies, polymer chemistry, bulk chemicals, chemical recycling and renewable raw materials processing. Postgraduate education is usually required for basic research.
