Begin your undergrad journey with tremendous flexibility. As an ACES undeclared student, you can explore courses in various ACES majors. This allows you to maximize your options while you narrow down your perfect major.

You know the world’s growing population needs to eat. Help make tomorrow’s crops more productive, nutritious, and sustainable with CPSC. You’ll help feed and fuel the future, whether you choose a career in plant breeding, biotechnology, production agriculture, or data analytics.
Interested in sustainable agriculture solutions? Address urgent food security and environmental sustainability challenges by integrating the latest scientific innovations with the practice of crop production. This field manages many parts of the agricultural system to meet the global need for food, fuel, and fiber.

Are you interested in how food affects a person’s health? Do you care about helping people make great choices about food as fuel? Dietetics brings together physical and social sciences to address nutrition and health issues. And if your goal is to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), this program will set you on the right path.
Is food your passion? In FSHN, you’ll gain a solid foundation in the physical, microbial, and chemical makeup of food to help ensure a safe, abundant, nutritious, and high-quality food supply. Gain valuable hands-on experience in our food pilot processing plant and our studentrun food service establishments, Bevier Café and the Spice Box.
Are you an entrepreneur with a passion for food or hospitality? In hospitality management, explore food-focused social and biological sciences. You’ll learn critical business and management concepts that will prepare you for a career in restaurant or hotel management, event planning, catering, food service, and more. Get hands-on experience in our student-run facilities, Bevier Café and the Spice Box.
Study the interaction between the physiological and biochemical aspects of metabolism, the nutrient composition of foods, and the role of social and economic factors as determinants of food selection. After graduation, you’ll be on track to pursue an advanced degree in medicine, dentistry, public health, and more, as well as taking on careers in research, government policy, or academia.

Research improving how people interact with the environment. With your NRES degree, you’ll create a career where you make a profound impact every single day.
Are you passionate about tackling challenges around food security and environmental sustainability? As an SFES student, you’ll analyze and investigate issues of sustainability, security, and justice within food and environmental systems, offering solutions using an interdisciplinary approach. Also, the SFES program lets you customize your academic experience, allowing you to specialize in areas such as policy and law, climate change and society, resources and influence, or food production systems.
