A story of passion.

Calzificio ILARY was born out of a passion for a profession and over the years it has reached a leading position in the hosiery and seamless industry with an international vision and a precise and personalized service.

Thanks to a vertical production process, for years we have been a point of reference in the hosiery and seamless sector, offering to our customer products that follow strict quality controls, in full respect of the environment.

1958 = Foundation of Calzificio Julia

1998 = Calzificio Ilary is born

2001 = Acquisition of Italtex, our Serbian plant

2003 = Acquisition of Tintoria Mariter, our Italian dye house

In 1958 Calzificio Julia was born, founded by Onorato Baratti and his wife Giulia, who, following the traditions of the territory, decided to devote themselves to the hosiery production. Since the very beginning, they have entered the hosiery market as producers for large distributors, not only in Italy but also abroad. Thanks to the economic boom of the 60s, the company was subject to an explosive but constant growth, that accompanied the transition from the old to the new generation.

In 1998 Calzificio Ilary takes shape, which determines the clear step from the "old" to the "new" and the beginning of a new era, which aims at research and innovation: the production of seamless underwear, as well as the traditional hosiery.

From the 2000s until today, the new generations have further contributed to the growth of the group, expanding on the national and international market, keeping up with technological innovations.

Our production is distributed between Italy and Serbia, where every day over 500 employees are committed to ensuring products of design with optimal technical performance. Following strict quality standards, we offer to our customer an impeccable service and a widespread distribution on the national and international territory. Our aim is to offer quick and tailored solutions, without leaving anything out.

The head office in Visano is divided into two factories at the same time dedicated to the production of synthetic fiber pantyhose with 220 machines and one of natural fibers with 40 machines, with a total surface of 6000m2 of premises used for the storage of products.

Casaloldo (MN), Italy

The recent detachment in Casaloldo is dedicated to seamfree garment production, with a plant equipped with over 100 machines, and its prides itself on the record of the biggest engine room in Europe in the field. The head offices are spread over a 2030 m2 storage area used for the storage of products.

San Giovanni in Croce (CR), Italy

Specialized in dyeing natural and synthetic fibers, the dye house Tintoria Mariter is a fundamental component of Calzificio Ilary, both for the Seamless production and for the Hosiery production, thanks to the various machines of the latest generation.

Novo Milosevo, Serbia

In our factory Italtex, more than 400 workers are dedicated to finishing of products in a structure equipped with: a dye house with waste water purifier, pre-fixing, sewing, boarding and packing department, a quality control and shipping office.

The evolution of hosiery

The "seamless" technology comes from the evolution of circular knit hosiery machines. Calzificio Ilary recognizes the potential of this innovative process and makes it one of its strengths by applying it to underwear and sportswear. To date, with over 100 dedicated machines, we boast the largest seamless plant in Europe which makes us the undisputed leader in the sector.

UNDERWEAR

Our underwear garments are a Made in Italy excellence through our production techniques with Seamless knit technology, meeting the requirements of every market with style, comfort and innovation.

COMFORT AND STYLE

We use different types of workmanship to offer a wide range of styles: rib, jacquard, perforated or patterned. These processes can be applied to our various lines; such as the shaping and containing, capable of defining the silhouette, the anti-cellulite or massaging action. Our hypoallergenic underwear is therefore able to combine comfort, style and innovation.

SPORT

We developed this line to satisfy the athletes' needs: comfort, endurance and freedom of movement. Every garment in our Sport range respects the highest quality standards and incorporates the latest innovations of the sector.

TECHNOLOGY

Our R&D office is constantly engaged in the search of experimental solutions for the production with new fibers and knitted constructions capable of making the Sport line products the high end in terms of technicality and performance.

PERFORMANCE

Our sport lines offer an experience of comfort and superior performance thanks to its seamless structure, which minimizes chafing and allows perfect freedom of movement. Furthermore, its breathability and resistance make it ideal for any sporting activity.

HOSIERY

Calzificio Ilary continues to devote itself with care and attention to the production of tights which has joined over the years to that of socks, knee-highs and hold-ups. To support the comfort of every woman, in recent years a line of styles with different levels of compression has also been introduced to improve circulation thanks to their micro massage effect.

Know-how and production capacity allow us to collaborate with nationally and internationally renowned brands. Professionalism, flexibility and innovation allow us to meet the needs of each customer and find effective solutions quickly.

SYNTHETIC FIBERS

Ilary's goal is to enhance femininity on all occasions, offering a wide range of products. We develop both basic , which represent a staple in every woman’s wardrobe, and fashion styles, with trendy colours and patterns, to meet needs of our customer who are most attentive to the news of the moment.

We use eco-sustainable synthetic fibers and regenerated from materials crafted to be highly breathable and resistant in order to combine aesthetics and functionality in each of our products, while reducing environmental impact.

With a premise of over 220 machines dedicated to this fibers, we are a leader in private label manufacturing.

NATURAL FIBERS

Our production is constantly committed to the natural resources conservation through the environmentally sustainable yarns, with an eye on functionality combined with design.

Thanks to the 40 machines dedicated to the natural fibers, Ilary produces hosiery of different fibers, i.e. cotton, merino wool, cashmere and viscose, with minimal environmental impact.

Ilary Group cares about the future and the environment is a priority. There is constant dedication to energy efficiency and careful use of resources to create a sustainable workplace. For years, Calzificio Ilary has been committed be a model of sustainable industry and has made eco-sustainability an essential commitment throughout all phases of its production cycle.

RENEWABLE ENERGIES

The energies used in the production also come from renewable sources. We strive for maximum energy efficiency through continuous work on our structures. From LED lighting systems in our departments for significant energy savings to state-of-the-art purifiers in our Serbian factory.

We want our production, from start to finish, to have minimum impact on the planet and respond to the strong demand for green products: from recyclable yarns to sustainable packaging. The R&D department is constantly studying to make this approach our new standard, promoting a new circular economy philosophy.

CERTIFICATIONS

Calzificio Ilary pays great attention to the quality of the products, recognizing the importance of the safety and comfort for our customers. That is the reason why raw materials and accessories are tested both in-house and by specialized agencies in order to ensure high quality standard. Among the tests performed are the ones on color fastness and resistance to washing, as well as those on harmful substances in fabrics.
