CAMPUS HIGHLIGHTS International Conference November 24th, 2023

IILM University, Gurugram, hosted the International Conference exploring Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights, graced by notable figures: Dr. Thomas Matthew from Gujarat National Law University, Amitabh Nag, CEO of Digital India Bhashini, and Pawan Reley, Advocate at the Supreme Court of India.

The consensus emerged that while AI holds immense potential, the urgent need for robust regulations to govern its ethical use remained a central focus.

Pitchside - My life in Indian Cricket Celebrating the Release of the book with Mr. Amrit Mathur November 7, 2023

Known for managing the Indian cricket team in the 1992 South Africa tour and contributing to the 1996 Cricket World Cup, Mr. Amrit Mathur held key roles like COO of Delhi Daredevils and GM of BCCI. Currently, advising the Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports, his book launch at IILM University offered captivating insights into the cricket team, delighting students and faculty.

Leadership Lecture Series: The recent session at IILM University, Gurugram featuring Former Rajya Sabha MP, Mr. Pavan Varma & Senior Journalist, Ms. Nidhi Razdan explored the dynamic Indian middle class and its implications for society and business.

Mr. Varma's Insights: 1. Middle-Class Surge: India's middle class is projected to grow from 31% to 67% in the next two decades.

2. Income Definition: The middle class, according to him, earns between 7.5 lakhs and 15 lakhs.

3. Characteristics: The emerging middle class seeks upward mobility, embraces entrepreneurship, values financial stability, and grapples with challenges like flexible morality.

4. COVID-19 Impact: The pandemic reshaped the middle class, leading to job losses for some and remote work gains for others. This lecture series assures enriching discussions on contemporary business and societal intersections.

In a vibrant display of intellectual finesse and creative fervor, the School of Liberal Arts at IILM University, Greater Noida, unveiled the mesmerizing spectacle of PressPsych Palooza.

This five-day extravaganza, seamlessly blending the realms of psychology and mass media, left an indelible mark on the collective consciousness of all those in attendance.

The transformative impact of events like PressPsych Palooza cannot be understated in the holistic development of students.

IBM ICE Day School of Engineering | Greater Noida

Embarking on the forefront of technological evolution with passion and intellect at IILM’s School of Computer Science and Engineering.

Offering a glimpse into the dynamic ‘IBM ICE Day,’ where the synergy of creativity and expertise took center stage through the Poster Competition and Technical Paper Presentation.

G20 University Connect Engaging Young Minds Lecture Series: Achieving Sustainable Development Goals for a Better World

Our students have been actively participating in events like the G20 Intercollege Quiz, Essay Competition, and Model G20 Summit, showcasing their talent and knowledge on a global stage. Chief Guest Mr Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Chief Coordinator of G20 India Presidency who emphasised the crucial role of global collaboration in achieving sustainable development.

Global Thinker Awards The 13th IILM Distinguished Global Thinker Award was conferred upon Mr. Vikram Mehta, Chairman, and Distinguished Fellow at the Centre for Social and Economic Progress on 11 August 2023. He spoke on the essential ingredient for energy transition which is collaborative governance.

Sectoral Meet– Campus to Corporate Deloitte | L’Oreal | Ernst & Young Our campus was graced by the esteemed presence of distinguished professionals representing renowned organizations, including Ernst & Young, Deloitte, L'Oreal, and others, during our Sectoral Meet.

The engagement served as a platform for insightful discussions, knowledge exchange, and potential avenues for partnerships between the academic and corporate realms, enhancing the overall learning experience for our students and contributing to the advancement of both sectors.

Here is a glimpse of what they have been up to :

School of Management Our business students participated in a national case study competition and emerged victorious, showcasing their analytical and strategic skills.

The recent convocation celebrated the graduation of 118 MBA students. The convocation was graced by Mr. Deepak Bagla, MD and CEO of Invest India at the Lodhi Road campus, whose words echoed deeply with the future business leaders of IILM University.

Exciting new subjects have been introduced for the Batch of 2023, including Advanced Spreadsheet Applications, E-commerce Technologies, Python Programming, AI and ML in Business, and more.

Training & Learning, 6-day FDP on the topic, Data Analysis & its Application using Python from 20th November, 23 – 25th November, 23

School of Engineering Engineering students showcased their inventions and prototypes at the Engineering Expo, demonstrating their creativity and technical prowess.

School of Social Sciences & Liberal Arts The school introduced new subjects, including Popular Culture, Digital Media, India and the World Constitution, Multiculturalism and Cultural Diversity, Sustainability and fashion, and the Use of AI/Technological Tools.

The school organized a thought-provoking seminar on the intersection of art, technology, and society, engaging students in critical discussions.

IILM Law School Faculty development programs Orientation sessions Model G20 competitions.

Students of Law School recently won its 1st Moot Court Trophy. The team won the award for the best memorial at National Law University, Odisha.

The Centre for Research and Public Policy (CRPP) was also inaugurated to promote research initiatives.

The Law School also organized The Second National Youth Parliament Competition on the 27th and 28th of October.

Global Connect & International Tie-Ups International MoUs Our commitment to global education continues to grow as we forge new International partnerships and collaborations. In the past month, we have established several significant collaborations with esteemed universities and institutions worldwide, fostering a diverse and enriching learning environment for our students. These partnerships open up avenues for international exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and cultural exchanges, broadening the horizons of our students.

We are actively expanding our International collaborations. Our existing MoUs with universities such as Northumbria University, University of West of England, and Georgia University are being further expanded to provide our students with a truly global educational experience.

Placements & Internships Report

Drone Management Training IILM pioneered starting Drone Management Training in collaboration with GATI - one of the leading DGCA-approved Drone training schools in India.

A batch of 12 students were given 3 days of classroom and 2 days of practical drone flying training at Manesar and after clearing several rounds of tests they were issued a drone flying pilot license. The students had a great learning experience and value added by this training course.

Campus Development We are thrilled to announce that our campus is expanding with new wings, including an Apple Lab, a Cookery room, a Media Lab, a Psychology Lab, a Language Lab, and a Moot Court-Mock Parliament.

These facilities will further enhance the learning experience at the University.
