Effective Communication and Negotiations Skills

Date: 19th June 2025

Time: 1:30 PM-2:30 PM GMT

For emerging leaders, strong communication skills are crucial for articulating their vision, motivating teams, and driving organisational change.

This session will:

- detail the significance of style and behaviour in successful negotiations, and define the importance of establishing your own style and behaviour when negotiating.

- focus on how to manage emotions and mitigate conflict through developing an understanding of how to manage your own and others emotions and minimise discord with the aim of achieving better results for both parties.

- outline integrative negotiation skills, exploring the most appropriate approach and negotiation process for individuals to adopt when negotiating across a range of issues and with a range of parties.

Business Senseand Strategy

Date: 18th July 2025

Time: 1:30 PM-2:30 PM GMT

Establishing a successful strategic business plan does not need to be complicated but it is incredible how many people and organisations don’t have an effective strategic plan in place, and even if they do, they don’t adhere to it.

This session will highlight how the key to this is to draw on clear and focused business sense, to develop and embed a realistic, achievable business strategy.

This session will:

- outline the core components that need to be in place to enable your plan to be genuinely strategic and ultimately a worthwhile successful piece of work.

- describe how this plan must be seen as a working document, not a beautifully presented scribe that sits elegantly on the shelf to gather dust, and is never cross referenced or evident in practice.

- involve highlighting how to plan meaningful, relevant content that is transferable to the whole organisation and to all those involved. Employee engagement is fundamental to embedding this effectively.

- include addressing resistance to change and building resilience through detailed purpose, with sharp, key targets that are regularly monitored. The result of this is that the plan is embedded, achieved and built upon, and employees’ are retained.

High-Performance Competency Framework:
