Little Ninja Liam Williams aged 5 has now achieved 5 stickers on his certificate for Little Ninja’s. Liam goes to Jamie Woodland Black Belt Academy every Saturday and loves it!

Football Crazy Joe Davies aged 8 has been awarded with a number of trophies and medals for his fantastic playing for the under 8’s Holcombe Football Club. Well done Joe, keep it up! Dancing Star Abbey Chiswell aged 11 took part in the Susan Hill Dance show at The Forum in Bath in February. Abbey took part in the ‘Do your thing’ jazz dance. Keep up the hard work Abbey !

Melons….. Bridy Nicholls aged 7 came 2nd in a competition to grow the biggest water melon! Bridy was awarded with a jump rope for her superb hard work!

Gym Star Mya Hewson aged 10 has achieved her grade 3 for her hard work and determination in Gymnastics at Writhlington Sports Centre. Keep up the hard work Mya!

The Big Hit! Joe Curtis aged 11 was awarded his medal from Jamie Woodlands Black Belt Academy for ‘breaking boards with his feet!’ Well done Joe, sounds painful!

The Southern Zonal Schools Trampolining Competition took place recently. Schools from the entire southern region took part. Pupils from Radstock and Midsomer Norton Schools showed some outstanding performances! Corey Walkes (Year 4 Trinity C of E Primary School) came 1st in the Under 11’s Boys Novice section. Holly Greenhalgh (Year 4 at Trinity C of E Primary School) came 4th in the under 11’s Girls Novice section. Kate Slater, Hannah Slater, Olivia Sheppard and Katie Ball (Year 6 Westfield Primary School) entered the U 11’s Girls Elite Team along with Taylor East, Sarah. Both teams qualified for the finals! All of the fantastic children will compete in the British National Schools Trampoline Championships Finals 2010 held at the City Academy in Bristol! Well done to you all. Cheerleading in Style! A local Peasedown St John cheerleading squad competed at the British Cheerleading Associations Regional Championships in February 2010 in South Wales. They were judged on their routine consisting of cheer dance, cheerleading stunts and pyramids, cheer jumps and tumbling. The overall marking was out of 100 and the All Starz scored 9/10 on their Overall Impressions and Likeability section on their score sheet! All Starz were awarded the 1st place trophy for Youth Level 1 division. Vixenz were awarded the 2nd place trophy for Junior Level 2 division. A huge Congratulations to both teams and also their coach!
