The country is in an enviable geographical position, there are many possibilities for the country’s industry to grow and we can promote Honduran products

The real GDP of the Honduran economy grew by approximately 3.5 percent in 2023, showing a deceleration from the 4 percent recorded in 2022. This slower growth is partly explained by reduced demand for textiles in the United States. Sustained growth in remittances and credit supported household consumption and investment, partially offsetting the drop in exports.

It is estimated that there are around 450 artisanal and semiindustrial dairy companies in the Honduran dairy sector, of which a smaller number export to the United States and others are in the process of preparation, undergoing inspections and obtaining licenses and certificates. Companies wishing to export food to the U.S. market must have food safety system certification.

The U.S. market is crucial for Agroalimentos de Olancho, especially because of the large migrant population that demands nostalgic dairy products. We have DUNS registration in the United States, which allows us to access federal contracts, financing and new market opportunities in the US.

As an entrepreneurial woman, I believe in the enormous potential that Honduras has. I want current and future generations to live in and invest in the country to make it a prosperous nation.

In 2022, real GDP will grow

4.5% year-on-year, following a -9% drop in 2020, and a 12.5% recovery in 2021, due to the recovery of economic activity supported by the vaccination process, as well as higher external demand from major trading partners, and an increase in domestic demand, reflected in high levels of consumption and private investment.

The Central Bank’s forecasts estimate Honduran economic growth of 3.5% in 2023 and 4% in 2024. During the first half of 2023, the national economy showed a resilient performance by registering a 2.9% accumulated growth and 4.8% year-on-year growth according to the IMAE, compared to the first six months of 2022, despite the international economic slowdown and the low external demand of the main trading partners. In 2023, the Honduran authorities and the IMF have reached a 36-month agreement to access approximately $380M to finance Honduras’ economic reform

The United States is our main supplier of raw material; in three days we receive the peanuts and soybeans to feed our poultry. In terms of technology, we know that they are a world power. The opening that we can have with the U.S. market will depend on our short, medium and long term objectives. There is a great need to feed the world and that country represents an opportunity for us since we are geographically close to them and they have the purchasing power to buy our products.

As a Mega Distribuidora we also envision exporting to Europe and Asia because we policies.

The Central Bank of Honduras foresees a good performance of the Honduran economy in 2023, projecting growth rates in the range of 3.5% to 4.0%, supported by the evolution of private consumption supported by wage adjustments, favorable behavior of family remittances and credit growth, as well as improved Public Investment directed mainly to programs and projects in the energy sector,

Honduras is a country with a lot of potential, it is a five star country as it appears on its flag. It has a diverse climate and if we divide the country geographically into four cardinal points, there are four very different regions in terms of gastronomy, tourism, economy and human quality that are not found in other countries. All Honduran men and women should return to the country and contribute their experiences to develop it.

The United States is Honduras main trading partner, followed by Central America and the EU. Among the main exported products are bananas, coffee, gold, pulses and vegetables.

In 2022, Central American countries are the second largest destination for Honduran exports with a 30% share, followed by the European Union with a share of 30%, Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua are the main markets in the Region to which metals and their manufactures, paper and cardboard and palm oil are exported. for shoe care, what is traditionally known as shoe polishes, we began to export to Costa Rica, Guatemala and then we started to grow, we began to manufacture our own metal containers: cans, lids, bottoms.

“In view of the diaspora that Honduras is experiencing, its businessmen are seeking to create opportunities so that the “catracho” does not have to leave the country”

Over the past 50 years, the Honduran economy has experienced a diversification. In addition to traditional banana and coffee exports, the country has developed a secondary economy that includes a variety of industrial sectors.

The industrial sector plays a significant role in the country’s economy making Honduras stand out as a competitor in the manufacturing of products for export. Its contribution to the local economy not only generates jobs but also increases tax revenues.

In addition to its economic contribution, the manufacture of personal care products drives innovation and the development of new products, which can have a positive impact on research and development in Honduras, thus encouraging creativity and investment in the country.

In 2004, the government of the Republic of Honduras distinguished us with the “Presidential Award to the Exporter”.

then SC Johnson bought that brand and it became a global brand, we began to manufacture special products for them in various countries in Asia, Africa, Australia.

We have a hybrid business model: machining for third parties and brand development to become a global company.

We are different because we think globally, in a way. I believe that many of the industries in Honduras manufacture products to sell to the domestic market or they manufacture products thinking in some way of having an intermediate quality that allows them to compete. Obviously we are in a very competitive world, we have to compete against imported products from China, Mexico, Central America.

We distinguish ourselves because we think of creating brands that can compete in any country with a high quality standard, so it is challenging in terms of costs, resources, but we want to create brands to go to Mexico, the United States and be able to compete any day against any multinational.

So, we distinguish ourselves in making high quality products that can compete against anyone.

Health is a fundamental right that the State must guarantee to all Hondurans through access to preventive services and quality medical care. The sense of sight and the state of our eyes is important, because 50% of the information we receive from our environment comes to us through them.

The Hospital, Clínica y Óptica Santa Lucía has the ACHC certification, a significant achievement that positions it as the first in Honduras and the third in Latin America to obtain it. We are the only ones with 13 subspecialties in the visual area in Central America.

We are the only center dedicated to visual health that has all the sub-specialties of ophthalmology, this is an important advantage because the patient who seeks visual health services is attended by the specialist who deserves his case, this is a great advantage in access to visual health.

Another of our achievements is

I think it is important for women to get involved, because apart from having knowledge and intellectuality, women have a fundamental and human part which is the heart. Women are the heart of the family and society, so it is important that they also lead in the different sectors of the country.

There is no doubt that we are in a digital and technological context par excellence. Technological evolution has had an impact on all spheres of society and has presented companies with a challenge to which they have had to adapt in order not to be left behind.

Inflation has been kept under control since 2022 thanks to the restrictive monetary policies applied by the BCH. It notes that the year-on-year rate at the end of 2023 was the lowest in the last three years (5.19%), as a result of lower fuel and electricity prices and lower growth in the prices of certain foodstuffs. These values were also influenced by the evolution of raw material and oil costs.

A downward trend is expected for 2024, within the mediumterm tolerance range established by the BCH (4%±) at the end of 2024 and 2025, in parallel to the containment of international food and fuel prices. The following table shows the most recent results and the outlook for the future.

The banking sector in Honduras has faced a number of significant challenges, from the COVID-19 pandemic to the impacts of hurricanes Eta and Iota. However, despite these events, the banking sector has demonstrated resilience and has made a remarkable recovery. During the pandemic, banks faced a direct impact on their economics and asset quality.

However, through sound management, they have managed to stabilize and improve the quality of their loan portfolio. Nonperforming loans have decreased and a positive trend in asset quality has been observed since the beginning of 2022. In addition, despite the natural disasters that hit the country, commercial

Last year we reached a capital investment ratio of 16, which is quite good in any state. For this 2024 we have a goal of achieving a 12.5, and according to the actions we are taking, we are in a very
