[ About me ] I understand architecture as a fluid discipline, between the sensitive, experimental, material and economic aspects.

I consider that I have developed a high level of curiosity, adaptability, analytical thinking and a global vision that allows me to conduct a high diversity of tasks, either as a member of a team or as an independent.

I belive it is important to maintain a balance between the pragmatic office work and academia, to always keep ideas fresh and foward thinking. [ Bauform Studium SPA ] My experience at Bauform Studium begins in parallel with my Master's in 2019, where I am currently responsible for renderings, BIM modeling, 3D modeling, CAD drawing, and creating presentation material for clients in both image and video formats.

Throughout my career at Bauform Studium, I have participated in projects that vary in their typology, including the design of residential buildings, hotels, shopping centers, interior design and the configuration of both interior and exterior spaces.

[ Parque Zócalo del Cerro Lo Aguirre ] The project corresponds to the final exercise to obtain both the title of Architect and the Master's Degree in City and Landscape, combining an architectural and landscape proposal along with research and writing a final thesis.

Cerro Lo Aguirre is one of the largest island hills in Santiago, belonging to two comunas (Maipú and Pudahuel) with low access to quality urban green areas. My proposal was to create an intercommunal urban park combined with a landscaping project based on restoration and revaluation.

The diversity of Cerro Lo Aguirre contains 4 contrasting landscapes, which correspond to various moments in its history and its potential future. The first is a post-industrial landscape that was created after the abandonment of a copper mine; the second, an agricultural landscape, deeply embedded in the rural history of the comunas; the third, a suburban condition, generated by the real estate boom of the area; and the fourth, an area of a potential restoration of the native and endemic species of the hill.

The proposal for an urban plinth was created as a response to two key aspects of the hill, these being the ability to walk across all the landscapes, and the intention to not generate an intervention that takes a greater role than the nature of Cerro Lo Aguirre. Therefore, it was decided to propose a continuous walkway with universal accessibility, capable of covering the 4 landscape experiences and thus understanding both its history and its current status.

Due to the territorial extension of the hill, various analyses of the natural conditions were carried out ( natural streams, flow direction on slopes, sunlight, and potential erosion) that dictated both the type and the extension of the walkway. In addition, a slope analisys was also carried out, which dictates the potential uses of the Cerro Lo Aguirre areas, in order to deliver a master plan of action and intervention on a potential intercommunal urban park.

[ Urban reorganization of the Puerto Viejo settlement ] Puerto Viejo corresponds to a coastal settlement made up of two contrasting realities, the first beeing a fishing port, and the second one of the largest informal settlements in Chile, with around 2000 homes.

The territorial reorganization project seeks to find an administrative and urban solution to achieve a beneficial agreement for the three fundamental entities involved: the Chilean State, the egitimate owners of the land, and the people who inhabit the settlement. The proposed solution was a system of trust and community property / cooperative ownership that would allow Puerto Viejo to become a formal settlement.

The project corresponds to an academic group exercise, carried out during my Master's in City and Landscape, with Javiera Albornóz and Sofía Molina, obtaining a score of 6.0 / 7.0

[ Scuola di musica, Florence, Italy ] The project corresponds to the design of a music school for various instruments and orchestra, whose architectural program had to respond to rehearsal places, concert hall, common spaces, administration, library and study rooms, for individuals and groups of students.

The concept of the project was born from the virtual three-dimensionality of the musical staff, vertically dividing the school into communicating intermediate levels and a modulating spaces according to the correspondence to the musical times.

The music school corresponds to an academic exercise, carried out during my architecture exchange year in Florence, where I obtained the maximum grade (30/30).

[ Nuovo Parco Albereta, Florence, Italy ] The project responds to the redesign of a largely underused and unmaintained green area named Parco Albereta,wich is located east of Florence, in the Gavinana sector.

The key characteristics of the park are its relationship with the agricultural area of Tuscany and the potential development on the Arno River, which is why it proposes an intermittent market area, access spaces to the Arno, an exclusive sports area, and spaces dedicated to urban community gardens.

The Nuovo Parco Albereta corresponds to an academic group exercise, carried out together with Catalina Ferrer, Paula Purcell and Florencia Tarsetti, during our academic exchange year in Florence, obtaining the maximum grade (30 with Honors / 30 ).

[ Architecture for the Landless | Pavilion for the Haitian community ] The project corresponds to a resolution exercise on the matter of Haitian immigration in Chile, due to the lack of spaces for the community belonging to the San Saturnino Parish of the Yungay neighborhood.

The exercise is part of the central speech corresponding to the XX Chilean Architecture Biennial, "Dialogos Impostergables" (Urgent Conversations), where the project was presented and displayed.

The built Pavilion corresponds to the winning proposal of an internal competition of the architecture faculty where, as a studio class, we earned the opportunity to develop a project that would benefit the community, giving them a place where they could receive the most important tool in their adaptation process, which is language. The design response was an inheritable Classroom Pavilion, where they could attend Spanish classes and develop activities to strengthen their community.

My role in this project was as an integral part of the design of prefabricated construction elements, 3D modeling, production of plans and construction of the pavilion.

[ Manuel Antonio Tocornal 455 ] The project corresponds to an exercise in the design of high-rise, high-density homes to respond to the housing crisis of the area, driven by the phenomenon of "vertical ghettos" Conceptually, the ideas of the project emerged from two books, the first as a oneiric vision of the city and urban living (Invisible Cities - Italo Calvino) and the second, as an approach from nature (The life of the bees - Maurice Maeternlinck), which narrates and exposes the habitability of the hive.

The proposal solves the problems corresponding to the high density and low amount of common spaces by replacing two existing buildings. The idea was to deliver housing with good solar exposure, a beehive-inspired morphology, and the conceptuality of the interstice of structural walls, as a habitable space imitating a hive. [
