55 Plus Active Older Adults

As we plan for Senior Trips in 2023 your health and safety are at the heart of every decision we make. Please carefully read the updated information provided below.

Activity level ~ Extremely Important

Trips are coded by activity level. Please take this into account when signing up for trips. You each know your own limitations and we want every trip you attend to be enjoyable! Levels are as follows:

Low – Short periods of walking on mostly flat surfaces.

Moderate – Long periods of walking, possible uneven terrain, multiple van stops.

High – Extended periods of walking or hiking on uneven or uphill terrain, multiple van stops.

Extreme – These trips are physically demanding. Please contact Alicia prior to registration to make sure trips are the right fit for you.

Registration: Trips are first come first served. You can register online at http://activenet.active.com/craigparksandrec or in person at Craig Parks and Recreation located at 300 W. 4 th Street. No phone registrations will be taken. Couples must complete their own registration as a waiver must be signed by each participant. Each trip has a registration deadline so pay close attention to those dates.

Trip Information: Trip fees include transportation, tickets, or admission (if applicable). Some trips include meals, some do not. Trip itineraries (mailed one week prior to departure) will explain what is and is not included. Please call if you have questions.

Payment: Registering online will require payment up front for trips. Registering in person allows you to “pay as you go” with a check, cash, or credit card. All trips must be paid for prior to departure or you will not be able to attend.

Cancellation/No-Show Policy: If you need to cancel, please do so as soon as possible. However, overnight, or ticketed trips require a two weeks’ cancellation notice. Any ticket that cannot be canceled, refunded, or used by a wait-listed senior will still require payment. All cancellations will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Payment is still required if you no-show for a trip and no refund will be given if you have already paid.

Trip Minimum and Maximum: All trips have a 6-person minimum. If the minimum is not met, the trip will be canceled. All trips have an 11-person maximum. Once trip maximum has been reached you will be placed on a waiting list.
