Going where nature takes us. In a place like Iceland, one doesn’t expect milder temps to be that big of an issue. It might even be looked at as a respite from deep winter. But sometimes it presents a problem. Like the time we’d planned a snowmobile trip on Langjökull glacier for a group of 80 people with a sumptuous surprise glacier buffet mid-way. That winter’s unusually little snowfall seriously limited our choice of picturesque spots to dine, plus none of the nicest ones were within reach. So, we quickly designed an exciting new route for our guests, first stealthily passing behind buffet set up and later arriving at its front when everyone had worked up a healthy appetite. Everyone agreed it was the coolest buffet they had experienced, ever.
