While some of traditional textiles are well preserved from local people, we can also see that the other goods are always developed in design and function to catch the various demands of customers.

Weaving Revolution Ginger is a Chiang Mai fashion house that introduces the fusion of modern style material and design with traditional textile. It distributes many spectacular items of costume, accessory, soft toy and bag as well as house ware. “The concept design of Ginger is fun. We focus on funky style that features vivid colors as well as to show an exotic feeling of Asian look,” said Designer Worachet Kapueak. He is in charge of designing home wares such as pillow, scatter cushion and bolster including soft toy and man costume. “ As I was born and grew up in Chiang Mai, I’ve found repertoires concerning about traditional and hill tribe fabrics. So, it takes part in my design and I melt it into the Ginger’s style,” he added. Yodaya is the other local costume brand that mixes the Lanna ancient textile’s pattern and texture with the update fashion trend. Apinpon Kiratibhumidhama, designer and director of Yodaya, told that traditional textile has its own elegant and attractive. Located in the heart of the city opposite to Toong Si Muang, many local foods are sold such as field crabs, rare-to-find vegetables and fruits. I like the steamed sweet corn the most, best served hot in the morning; and was amazed and even a little scared to see the selling and buying of live food such as crabs, monitor lizards and even beehives. Apart from the many yummy amazing dishes you can try, the scenes of Thai Buddhistsี way of life is a reason to come here. In the morning, a line of monks will walk to the market to receive food offerings from the people whilst sellers wear old style farmer hats and sell desserts in clay pots. Teenagers sit, chat and eat kao kam or sweetened sticky rice topped with young coconut. A fried dough stick shop also attracts many people to watch the show of frying and rolling the dough which is both exciting and mouth-watering.

Make sure not to skip the toast shop of Aunty Joi. Her shop is unique as she toasts bread on a Thai stove, tops it with butter, and then stuffs it with dried shredded pork, Thai style pork sausage or Chinese sausage.

ตลาดเทศบาลเมืองอุดรตั้งอยู่กลางเมือง เยื้อง กับทุ่งศรีเมือง แค่เดินเข้าไปก้าวแรกก็จะพบกับ ของกินสุด amazing อย่างเช่นปูนาเป็นๆ เดินกัน ยั้วเยี้ยในตะกร้า เตรียมพร้อมสำหรับการทำข้าวปุ่น ปู อาหารพื้นเมืองขึ้นชื่อของที่นี่ นอกจากนี้ก็ยังมี ผักหายากที่ชาวไร่ชาวสวนเก็บมาขายเอง เดินมา อาจจะเจอข้าวโพดน้ำผึง้ หอมฉุยควันโขมง ทานอุน่ ๆ ตอนเช้าเหมาะมาก นอกจากนัน้ ยังมีหน่อไม้ตม้ สีเหลือง น่าทานเต็มไปหมด อาหารทีด่ ูจะเป็นไฮไลท์ของที่นี่ คงหนีไม่พ้นปูนา เพราะจะมีปูนาเสียบไม้ (เป็นๆ) วางขายกันเยอะมาก กระทัง่ ตะกวด ทีน่ เี่ รียกว่าตัว แลน ก็เลือ้ ยไปเลือ้ ยมาเรียกลูกค้ากันน่าดู ขายคูก่ บั ของป่าหายากอืน่ ๆ เช่นรังผึง้ รังแตนสดๆ เป็นต้น นอกจากหาของกินแปลกๆ แต่อร่อยแล้ว เราก็ ยังมีโอกาสได้เห็นวิถีชีวิตแบบชาวไทยพุทธของที่นี่ ที่มีพระสงฆ์เดินมารอรับบิณฑบาตจากพ่อค้าแม่ค้า และยิง่ เมือ่ เดินเทีย่ วรอบๆ ก็ยง่ิ จะได้เห็นภาพทีห่ าไม่ ได้ในเมืองใหญ่ทั่วไป ไม่ว่าจะเป็นแม่ค้าในหมวก งอบ นั่งขายขนมประกริมไข่เต่าในหม้อดินแบบ โบราณ (หากใครหาไม่เจอ คุณป้าแกจะนั่งอยู่ทางเข้าตลาดด้านถนนโพธิ์ศรี) บางทีเราก็จะได้ เห็นเด็กๆ วัยรุน่ นัง่ ทางข้าวก่ำร้อนๆ โรยมะพร้าวอ่อนขูดน้ำตาล และกุง้ ฝอย เห็นแล้วก็นำ้ ลายสอ และที่ดึงดูดคนดูได้ไม่น้อยต้องยกให้พ่อค้าปาท่องโก๋ลีลาที่โชว์เทคนิคหมุน ทอดเป็นเกลียว ดูน่า ทาน ของกินที่นี่ให้สาธยายยังไงก็คงไม่หมดครับ และคนเขียนเองจะพาลหิวไปเสียก่อน เอาเป็น ว่าถ้าได้มาเมืองอุดรฯ แนะนำให้ตื่นเช้าสักนิดแล้วมาที่ตลาดอุดรแห่งนี้ เชื่อผมครับว่ากินตั้งแต่ หัวตลาดยันท้ายตลาด อิ่มได้ไม่เกินร้อยบาท คอนเฟิร์ม! Songkran on Khao Neow Road The E-Sarn Contemporary Charm สงกรานต์ถนนข้าวเหนียว ความร่วมสมัยของวัฒนธรรมอีสาน ソンクラーン・イン・コンケン
Songkran Festival will kick of at 13th April, and we are quite bored to talk about this tradition in Chiang Mai (that we talked continuously for 8 years). So, we skip to our neighboring region like ‘E-Sarn’ or Northeast and let us present the hippest street for Songkran Festival in Khon Kaen province. It is ‘Khao Neow Road.’ As the E-Sarn region is neighboring with Lao PDR, there is always exchanging of culture between those 2 regions including Songkran tradition. Songkran Festival in E-Sarn is influenced by Lao culture, but adapted in Thai style. The most popular point for water splashing in E-Sarn is Khao Neow Road, Khon Kaen province. This road is named after the famous Khao Sarn Road in Bangkok. It is located on Si Chan Road, Khon Kaen downtown. There are so many activities held on this road during 13th – 15th April. Apart of funny water warfare in the road, there is also traditional rituals organized in Bueng Kaen Nakorn where is situated near the road.
วันที่เย็นที่สุดในช่วงเวลาที่ร้อนที่สุดของปีใกล้จะมาถึง คอลัมน์ CULTURE ฉบับนี้ ขอละไว้ซึ่งการพูดถึงสงกรานต์เชียงใหม่ที่เราเล่ามา ทุกปี และขอเดินทางไกลไปเล่าเรื่องประเพณีสงกรานต์อีสานบนถนน ข้าวเหนียว จังหวัดขอนแก่นกัน เนื่องจากจังหวัดขอนแก่นตั้งอยู่ทางภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของ ประเทศไทย ซึ่งมีอาณาเขตติดกับประเทศลาว ภูมิภาคทั้ง 2 จึงมีการ ปะทะสังสรรค์กันทางวัฒนธรรมมาตลอด ทั้งอาหารการกิน ภาษาพูด รวมถึงประเพณีวัฒนธรรม ซึ่งแน่นอนประเพณีสงกรานต์ก็ลักษณะ เฉพาะตัวที่ใกล้เคียงกัน คนอีสานจะเรียกประเพณีสงกรานต์ว่า "บุญเดือนห้า" โดยจะถือ ฤกษ์ในวันขึ้น 15 ค่ำ เดือน 5 เวลาบ่าย 3 โมง เป็นเวลาเริ่มงานโดย พระสงฆ์จะตีกลองโฮมเปิดศักราช จากนั้นญาติโยมจะจัดเตรียมน้ำอบ หาบไปรวมกันที่ศาลาวัดเพื่อสรงน้ำพระพุทธรูป แล้วต่อด้วยการรดน้ำ ดำหัว ปู่ ย่า ตา ยาย และญาติผู้ใหญ่ เพื่อขอขมาลาโทษจากนั้นก็จะ เป็นการเล่นสาดน้ำสงกรานต์กันอย่างสนุกสนาน
ถ้าขยับเข้ามาหน่อยทางจังหวัดนครราชสีมา รวมทั้งขอนแก่น ประเพณีสงกรานต์จะมีสว่ นผสมของประเพณีแบบภาคกลาง และความ ร่วมสมั ยมากยิ่งขึ้น ซึ่งในละแวกดังกล่าว ถนนข้าวเหนียวในจังหวัด ขอนแก่ น เป็นสถานที่ที่ได้รับการกล่าวขวัญที่สุด

ถนนข้าวเหนียว ได้รับการตั้งชื่อเพื่อล้อกับถนนข้าวสาร สถานที่ เล่นสาดน้ำยอดฮิตในกรุงเทพฯ โดยยึดเอาเอกลักษณ์ทางอาหารของ ภาคอีสานคือข้าวเหนียวมาตั้งเป็นชื่อ ถนนข้าวเหนียวตั้งอยู่บนถนนศรี จันทร์ ซึ่งมีกิจกรรมจัดขึ้นให้สนุกสนานกันเต็มที่ตั้งแต่วันที่ 13 - 15 เมษายน ภายใต้การจัดชื่องาน สุดยอดสงกรานต์อีสาน เทศกาลดอก คูนเสียงแคน และถนนข้าวเหนียว โดยแบ่งการจัดกิจกรรมเป็น 2 โซน คือ บริเวณบึงแก่นนคร เป็นโซนของวัฒนธรรมที่ควรค่าแก่การอนุรักษ์ ส่วนที่ถนนข้าวเหนียว (ถนนศรีจันทร์) เป็นโซนกิจกรรมตามสมัยนิยม ซึ่งมีทั้งการเล่นสาดน้ำ ปะแป้ง เสียงดนตรีสมัยใหม่คึกคัก ในขณะ เดียวกันก็มีการรดน้ำดำหัวผู้ใหญ่ และการสรงน้ำพระตามประเพณีที่ดี งาม 毎年コンケン最大の水掛けが行われるカオニョウ通りでは、水掛
けの際のベビー・パウダーの使用を禁止する。これはパウダーを塗る振り をして女性の身体に触る痴漢行為を防ぐためだ。パウダーを所持している と警察が没収する。近年カオサン 通りでの水掛けが盛んになってい るが、女性から痴漢行為に対する 苦情が相次いでいた。カオサン通 り商店組合では二年前からパウダ ー使用の自粛を求めてきたが、一 向に改善されず、警察の協力を仰ぐ ことになった。カオサン通りの水掛 けには今年十万人の参加者が予想 されている。

Facts About Water Gun เรื่องราวน่ารู้เกี่ยวกับปืนฉีดน้ำ 水鉄砲 Origin of Water Gun Water gun was created in U.S. It is developed from a spray bottle. The first model of water gun is a rubber ball that we just squeeze to shoot water. It was, then, developed to use in fire fighting that was why the early model of water gun was made of metal and battery to pump water. Lonnie Johnson, a nuclear scientist and aerospace engineer from the NASA’s Mars Observer Project, was an inventor of plastic water gun with pumping trigger and separated water container as a kind of toy under the brand ‘Super Soaker’. This brand of the new version of water gun was created in 1989. Two years later, the Super Soaker generated over 200 million dollars in retail sales in U.S.
Water gun in Songkran Festival Before Super Soaker was launched internationally, there was also a small water gun that contains water inside the body. This old fashion water gun features less speed of water than the new one, but it was popular especially in Thailand’s Songkran Festival. The inventor of this kind of water gun is unknown. It comes up with the Thai’s tradition New Year for a long time. It is very funny weapon for children. However when we grow up, we know that splashing water by a bowl is more funny.

A Sepia Scene and the Morning without Doi Suthep ทิวทัศน์ซเี ปีย และตอนเช้าทีไ่ ม่มี “ดอยสุเทพ” 地球温暖化
Besides the torrid summer which is normal in Thailand, for almost 2 years that Doi Suthep has a background as an ambience of sepia film from March to April. It seems to be so romantic with obscure smoke and fog but unfortunately it has blocked out the beautiful scenery of our famous mountain while leaving out the air pollution as a summer gift for Chiang Mai people. Since a big pollution spread on January 29, 2007, the problem of dust, fog, smoke, becomes as a big topic in Chiang Mai especially in summer. The amount of dust and smoke are in the level of impact for health. People have rarely eyes pain, tearful eyes, uncomfortable and dry throat, feel difficult to breath and fatigue easily. It is unfinished conclusion for a real cause. Some people say because of burning forest. In opposite, the progressing construction of high buildings in the city is a cause as well. Undeniably, those two factors have contributed to bad air quality for our mountains surrounding this drift to be full of aroma with pollution. Similar to the global warming problem, although we are small one who can help to solve problems but we can achieve it by collaboration. First of all, just not do activities that support the smoke to the air. Use some natural way to get rid of the garbage instead of burning. Industry should include some protection to provide smoke and waste filter systems before discharge to outside which can save the environment. Moreover, the easiest way is just separate of waste disposal. With all of this, we may enjoy the next year summer at Doi Suthep without tears on eyes.

Last year, Chiang Mai had checked hand with the new 5 star-boutique resort downtown from the opening of Siripanna Villa Resort Chiang Mai, Centara Boutique Collection. This glorious Lanna style resort features 74 rooms on 13 rai area where is not far from Gymkhana Golf Club.
Supamit Kijapipat, the resort’s owner, said that he was inspired by the prosperity of Wiang Kum Kam Ancient City, the former capital of Lanna Dynasty. He therefore brought the concept of that ancient town to feature via the form of high end boutique resort that will make all guests feel like the Lanna aristocrats. Finely design, the resort’s entrance and lobby lounge feature the ambience of the embellish lawn in front of the big city gate. The villas and guestrooms’ buildings surround the large borderless swimming pool under the shady of trees, feeling like the dam in the middle of a Lanna ancient colony. Behind the area, there is a charm teak Thai house which is in charge of the big meeting room. There is a genuine ancient pool located on its premium spa under the shady of a tall rubber tree (the spa and Thai house are expected to be open by August 2010). Few things that make us know we are not in the real Lanna metropolis are modern accommodations, fitness room and WIFI internet.

Ancient Textile Museum
at JJ Hobby Market Sabun-nga Textile Museum is originated by the long time textile addiction of Akadet and Jaisakarn Nakbunlung, the owners of Sabun-nga Textile Shop on Nimmanahaeminda Road. With more than 20 years in textile collecting, the couple organized the museum in Chiang Mai Cultural Center on Wua Lai Road. Today, the museum is moved to JJ Hobby Market. The museum displays the precious history of Lanna textile and other ancient hill tribes’ clothes as well as talisman fabrics, due to Akadet is the famous collector in talisman. “Apart of the beauty of texture, each clothes has its own charming story. Nowadays, it is rarely to see them, I therefore operate the museum to broadcast to young people and individuals who interest,” said him. There are also many Lanna old photographs shown lifestyles of people in the past; since aristocrats to poor farmers. The cool items in the museum are the talisman textile that shows a footprint of Kru Ba Siwichai and a costume set of Chao Dara Rassamee, the royal consort of King Rama V. Maejo Golf Club & Resort Chiang Mai is one of the top 5 standard golf courses in the North. Located just 20 minute drive from Chiang Mai downtown, this standard golf course features 18 holes, par 72 and 6,730 yards. Jitti Rojanapaiboon, the chairman of T.W. Group, and Wuttisit Charoenthanakul, the owner of Settrakarn Village in Saraphi District, are the golfers who prefer this golf course and always join it when they have free time. They told us the course has beautiful scenery and its own unique charm as it features an orchard surrounded the area. Jitti said the course is so attractive for challenging golfers, and not too much difficult for individuals who would like to start golfing. According to his opinion, the most challenging stage is on hole 4, par 5 (552 yards) with U shape fairway. As the stage is situated near a longan orchard, it is so hard to return to the green if someone misses stroke. The most impressive stage is on hole 14, par 3 (145 yards) because golfer has to pat down to the slope where featuring beautiful view especially when the sun sets. He also said that the fairway is quite perfect. Wuttisit preferred in the service part of the golf club. The staffs are friendly and the caddies are skillful. “I started the day downtown with very hot weather and haze covered Chiang Mai city severely. Anyway, when I drove here, I found that the air in the course is so fresh,” said him. The owner of Settrakarn Village also said that the orchard nearby is very charm. Golfers can also try various kinds of fresh fruits at the lobby of the club.

Cupping
A Chinese Ancient Medical Practice 吸角療法 Cupping is a part of ancient Chinese medical sciences that was originated in Jin Dynasty around 2,000 years ago. At that time, the cups were actually animal horns, used draining pustules. Chinese doctors believe that there are two main causes of illness. The first is people got disease from germs. The other is defections of immunity that make disease get into blood and breath vessels of people. Cupping is a method to take those toxic away from patients’ capillaries. The practice also circulates blood in the vessels well. In science study, the broken capillaries let erythrocytes out from blood vessels and make hemoglobin dispersed that makes the immunities inside the body eliminate the hemoglobin. Pressure by a heat cup, this method will encourage and refresh our immunities and blood vessels.
Cup and Cure The treatment covers coughing, asthma, bronchitis, hives and etc. Anyway, the treatment runs well for individuals who have pains and aches on their bodies. By the co-operation with acupuncture, the treatment can also cure acne, blemish as well as dieting.
Before Cupping First, doctor has to heat the cups suctioning out the air inside. Then put the cups on the prominent points of breath vessel for 5 – 10 minutes, so that the skin and superficial
muscle layer is drawn into and held in the cups. After taking the cups out from the body, there must be violet stains on the skin. If someone has more diseases, the stains will be strong, but there is no any hazard. It will be disappeared in few weeks.

การครอบแก้วเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการรักษาของหน่วยเวชศาสตร์แผน จีนร่วมกับการฝังเข็ม ซึ่งมีมาตั้งแต่ยุคราชวงศ์จิ้นโดยมีการบันทึกไว้ใน คัมภีร์หวังตี้เน่ยจิงซึ่งเขียนเมื่อประมาณ 2,000 ปีก่อน แต่ในสมัยนั้นมี การใช้เขาของสัตว์ที่ไม่มีรูรั่วมาครอบแทนแก้ว แพทย์จีนเชื่อว่าสาเหตุของโรคเกิดจากสองหลักใหญ่ๆ หนึ่งคือพิษ เข้าสู่ร่างกายจำพวกเชื้อโรคต่างๆ สองคือภูมิต้านทานของผู้ป่วยเอง โดยพิษที่เข้ามาจะไปอุดตันเส้นเลือดเส้นลมปราณทำให้เกิดเป็นโรคขึ้น มาซึ่งการครอบแก้วนั้นเป็นการดูดพิษต่างๆ เหล่านี้ออกมาทางผิวหนัง ผ่านทางเส้นเลือดฝอยที่แตกตัว ทำให้เลือดลมไหลเวียนดี เหมือนกัน กับน้ำที่ไหลย่อมไม่เน่า ร่างกายจึงแข็งแรง หากจะอธิบายตามหลักวิทยาศาสตร์การที่เส้นเลือดฝอยแตกตัว ทำให้เม็ดเลือดแดงออกมานอกเส้นเลือดจากนั้นฮีโทโกลบินในเม็ด เลือดแดงก็จะกระจายออกมาอยูน่ อกทีอ่ ยูจ่ ริงๆ ของมันทำให้ภมู คิ มุ้ กัน ของร่างกายคิดว่ามันเป็นสิง่ แปลกปลอมจึงออกมากำจัดทิง้ จึงถือเป็นการ กระตุ้นภูมิของร่างกายแบบหนึ่งที่ปลอดภัย เนื่องจากเป็นการกระตุ้น ภูมิคุ้มกันด้วยตัวเอง ไม่ได้ฉีดเชื้อโรคอะไรเข้าสู่ร่างกาย

ครอบแก้วมีประโยชน์ในหลายโรคมาก เช่น ไอ หอบหืด หลอดลม อักเสบ ลมพิษ เป็นต้น แต่โรคที่ได้ผลการรักษาเด่นชัด คือกลุ่มอาการ ปวดเมื่อยต่างๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น ปวดคอ ปวดไหล่ ปวดหลัง ปวดเอว ปวดเข่า และที่นิยมกันมากในเวลานี้คือใช้การครอบแก้วร่วมกับการ ฝังเข็มลดความอ้วน เสริมความงามบนใบหน้า แก้ปัญหาสิว ฝ้า รอย ย่ น เพื่ อ ให้ ไ ด้ ผ ลการรั ก ษาที่ ดี ยิ่ ง กว่ า การฝั ง เข็ ม เพี ย งอย่ า งเดี ย ว
ก่อนครอบแก้ว
ขัน้ ตอนการครอบแก้ว แพทย์จนี จะจุดไฟและเอาไฟเข้าไปไล่อากาศ ในครอบแก้ว หลังจากนั้นรีบเอาแก้วมาวางไว้ในจุดเส้นลมปราณ ให้ แก้วดูดติดกับผิวหนังส่วนนั้นๆ ทิ้งไว้ประมาณ 5-10 นาทีก่อนดึงแก้ว ออกโดยเอานิว้ กดผิวหนังบริเวณข้างๆ ขอบแก้วเพือ่ ให้มชี อ่ งพอทีอ่ ากาศ จะเข้าไปทำลายสภาพสุญญากาศในแก้ว จากนั้นแก้วจะหลุดออกมา เอง และจะเห็นว่าผิวหนังบริเวณที่ถูกครอบมีรอยสีม่วงเป็นจ้ำเหมือนมี เลือดคั่ง หรืออาจมีแค่รอยขอบแก้ว ขึ้นกับความรุนแรงของตัวโรคยิ่งมี อาการมาก รอยจะยิ่งเข้ม แต่ไม่มีอันตรายแต่อย่างไรและจะหายได้ เองในเวลา 1-2 สัปดาห์ 吸角療法は、伝統的中国医術において、特定の健康状態に使用さ

Everyone can be cured by cupping except individuals who have mental illness in body controlling as well as those who have blood problems. The treatment will be matter to do once or two times per week, continuously for 10 times. Anyway, it is up to a consideration of the doctor.

นกแอร์เพิ่มเครื่องบินลำใหม่ นามพระราชทาน “ศรีสะเกษ” เข้าประจำฝูงบิน ซึ่งเป็นเครื่องบินรุ่นโบอิ้ง 737-400 รองรับผู้โดยสารได้มากถึง 150 ที่นั่ง เป็นที่นั่งชั้นธุรกิจ หรือ “นกพลัส” 12 ที่นั่ง และที่นั่งชั้นประหยัดอีก 138 ที่นั่ง โดยทำการเช่ามาจาก บริษัท การบินไทย จำกัด ( มหาชน) และได้รับการดูแลจากทีมซ่อมบำรุงของการบินไทย การเพิ่มเครื่องบินในครั้งนี้ทำให้นกแอร์มีเครื่องบินรุ่นโบอิ้ง 737-400 ทั้งหมด 6 ลำ แบ่งเป็น แบบที่ 1 ที่เช่ามาจากการบินไทย รองรับ ผู้โดยสารชั้นธุรกิจหรือ “นกพลัส” ได้ 12 ที่นั่ง และชั้นประหยัด 138 ที่นั่ง จำนวน 4 ลำ และรุ่น โบอิ้ง 737-400 แบบที่ 2 สามารถรองรับ ผู้โดยสารได้สูงสุดถึง 168 ที่นั่งในชั้นประหยัดทั้งหมด จำนวน 2 ลำ ซึ่งเครื่องบินแบบโบอิ้ง 737-400 นี้จะให้บริการเที่ยวบินสู่ 9 จังหวัด ได้แก่ เชียงใหม่ พิษณุโลก อุดรธานี อุบลราชธานี สุราษฎร์ธานี นครศรีธรรมราช ตรัง ภูเก็ต และหาดใหญ่ และเครื่องบินแบบ ATR-72 ที่สามารถ รองรับผู้โดยสารได้ถึง 65 ที่นั่ง จำนวน 2 ลำ ให้บริการเที่ยวบินสู่สกลนคร นครพนม บุรีรัมย์ และเส้นทางเชียงใหม่-แม่ฮ่องสอน まず世界的観光地シーサケット県です。小さいながらも国際空港です。 「ノ ク エア」 という主にタイ国内と近隣外国を飛んでいるエアラインで、機体はボーイ ング７３７－４００という近距離用の伝統のある機体です。撮影者はスイスの方で すが注釈に 「ノク エア」 は「スワナプーン空港」から 「ドンムアン空港」 に拠点を戻し たと書いてあります。
