Preparing For Your Home Search

Get Pre-Approved

Before starting your home search, you can get pre-approved for a loan from HUNT Mortgage, ensuring the rest of the loan process is hassle-free.

Showings will be scheduled at your convenience through our ProShowSM , Powered by ShowingTime system. Seeing your selected homes together will allow your HUNT sales agent to explain the pros and cons of each.

STEP 3

YOU’VE FOUND YOUR HOME... NOW WHAT?

The Purchase Offer: Preparation & Assistance

The purchase offer can be a complex document. Together, your HUNT sales professional will go through the contract and all related paperwork to ensure you have a thorough understanding of the offer you are making.

Presentation & Negotiations

To strengthen your advantage, your offer will be presented directly to the seller’s agent and the seller, when possible. Your terms will be properly conveyed and negotiated in order to maximize your chances of securing your next home.

STEP 4

YOUR OFFER IS ACCEPTED

Once your offer is accepted, your HUNT sales professional will guide you through a number of important steps between contract and closing.

Attorney Approval

The signed contract must be submitted to both the buyer’s and seller’s attorney for approval. Your HUNT agent can recommend one of our highly-qualified HUNT Homeowners Club Attorneys to assist.

Inspections

Inspections are a buyer expense and are critical to helping identify potential issues with the property. Types of inspections include structural, mechanical and radon.

Mortgage Application

STEP 5

WELCOME HOME

Closing Day

On your closing day, here is what you can expect:

• Close at the county clerk’s office at a pre-set time (determined by buyer and seller’s attorneys)

• Parties present

- Seller(s) or Seller’s Attorney

- Buyer(s)

- Buyer’s Attorney

- Bank’s Attorney

• Time frame of closing - 1 to 2 hours

• Bring your government-issued photo ID (license or passport)

• Bring your final bank check for remaining funds

• Bring a checkbook for any additional expenses

• You will receive your keys at the end of closing
