Wechosetousemasks, musicandphysical theatretobringthisdystopianstoryto lifeinatheatrical way, inspiredbypolitical cartoons. Withfacesconcealed, our actorsrelyonmovement, bodypercussionandthestrengthof theensembleto showcharacterandpresentcomplexissues. Ithasbeenahugechallenge, andthe castandcrewhaveembraceditwithenergy, focusandimagination.

Thisproductionhasbeenaboutmorethanperformingaplay. Ithasbeenabout exploringbigideas, expressingourselvesphysicallyandworkingtogethertocreate somethingthoughtful andunique. Conversationsabouttechnologyinachanging worldinformedour rehearsal process, helpingstudentsconnectOrwell’sworldto theirown. Theresultisaproductionthatfeelsbothtimelessandtimely.
