CROAK by BIGnick

Lie to me Say that I’m your prince And I’ll dress like it Kiss my lips and I’ll bite my tongue Swallow my pride Because bitter words tend to choke like a lump in the throat I don’t care for the mundane Fantasy is a more entertaining place to squat Swamp or castle, it’s all magical It’s hard to hold on so don’t let me slip, princess Kiss me even if it makes you green Like a pack of cigarettes We’ll just parade around in a daymare disguised as young love Take me, warts and all A blindfold tying us together Just know in the coming years I will be nowhere near when you finally croak With half your treasures we gathered together And a dragon we never raised right I’ll pretend like this isn’t a lie If you pretend you didn’t see me eat a fly
