LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER
Hued Songs was launched from the urgent need to create spaces that illuminate the diversity of our community. Truthfully, when I launched Hued Songs my goal was to shape the community that I wanted to live in. As our network and partner ecosystem expanded, however, it soon became about shaping the community we want to live in. And each year, Hued Songs continues to shift and grow. And while many elements of our work have evolved, one thing has remained constant - our spirit of collaboration.
We’re at an exciting point in our journey and poised for some incredible new adventures. But it doesn’t happen without partnership. Your support makes the difference and enables us to do more- better. More opportunities for BIPOC artists & creatives, more performances across South Florida and beyond, and more ways to engage with our community. Will you join us? Hued Songs uses the power of music and the arts to seed personal and collective Belonging for Black and Brown artists, creatives, and community members across South Florida. Through high-quality artistic experiences, creative placemaking, and community building, we are on a mission to amplify Black culture, creativity, and joy.
We are guided by three central tenets:
To be a platform where Black and Brown artists can be seen, heard, and paid. We seek to be a positive economic stimulus for Black and Brown artists and creatives.
The arts are a right; not a privilege. We actively work to remove barriers centering cost, location, and perception that our communities face when experiencing the arts.
The arts are a conduit to build and strengthen community. The way we make sense of the world is through the arts- We create experiences that center Black culture and invite discourse, empathy, and understanding for all.
The Juneteenth Experience is a groundbreaking, annual celebration of our country’s national holiday, Juneteenth. A community wide, month long celebration, The Juneteenth Experience culminates with a series of performances that weave together a tapestry of sound, spoken word, and dance paying homage to Juneteenth's spirit of liberation and freedom. The event brings together 1,000+ residents, visitors, and young people across Miami-Dade, Broward, and the digital stage and continues to crystallize a strong Juneteenth tradition across our community.

Our partnerships galvanize connectedness, unity, and community through a highlyintentional, inventive artistic treatment that meaningfully aligns art, community, and social opportunities.
2,000+ audience members a year | Through synergistic partnerships, we bring the arts to wider audiences which increases visibility among all partners and performers and fosters a deeper appreciation for the arts among individuals who may not otherwise have access - inspiring hope and creating change.
20+ experiences annually across South Florida and the digital screen | Whether it’s a collaborative performance, curated experience, or bespoke concert, the result is memorable, distinctive, moving programming that has a way of affirming whoever shows up.
