What do users need to know?
What does this mean for support?
Sportscode Version 11 (classic) will never work on macOS 10.15 Catalina or future macOS versions.
We are extending support until July 1, 2021 for those teams wishing to continue to use v11 while working through their transition plans.
New computers come pre-installed with Catalina or later, so will never support version 11. If a user needs to replace any computers going forward then they will only be able to use Hudl Sportscode on that new computer. Users can downgrade to Mojave if they wish to do so. Users will need to work with their IT department to downgrade the macOS.
Our product consultants will continue to respond to queries about version 11 until July, 1 2021. We are unlikely to fix any bugs in version 11 going forward.
Can users work on v11 and Hudl Sportscode at the same time?
What about product enhancements and training?
It’s possible for you to migrate workflows to Hudl Sportscode, but still occasionally use version 11. However this is not straightforward because:

This requires you to remain on macOS 10.14 Mojave. This in turn means you may not be able to purchase new computers.

This requires you to convert packages between Hudl Sportscode format and version 11 format.

It takes some effort to convert playlists, sorters and organisers between versions
Hudl Sportscode, not version 11. We will no longer update any training material or run training courses for version 11.
For these reasons, we’d strongly encourage teams to migrate as much of their workflows as possible to Hudl Sportscode.
