Points to Consider
For teams participating in the restart of the NBA season in Orlando, we are not recommending
adoption prior to the restart; our recommendation is that teams adopt in between the current season and the 2020-2021 season.
For teams that are not participating in the NBA season restart in Orlando, we are recommending that you begin the adoption process as soon as possible.
While adoption timelines will vary from organization to organization, we think all of the items on the
transition checklist could be completed in one
months time; for that reason, even NBA teams playing on the last possible date for the NBA Finals (October 12, 2020) could reasonably complete the transition prior to the beginning of the 2020-2021.
Our team of Tech Analysts, Solutions Consultants, Product Consultants, and Elite Education Strategists can be resources to assist your organization in the adoption process; this can take the form of on-site consultation/training or online trainings.
For NBA teams that have chosen pricing Tiers 2, 3, 4, and our Preferred Partner Tier,
on-site consultation/training days are included in those
tiers; we recommend using at least one of those days for an in-person Hudl Sportscode on-boarding session.
As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hudl has banned all company travel until further notice; of course, on-site visits will not be possible until such time as that travel ban is lifted; if your organization
schedules an on-site training date, and if the Hudl travel ban is still in effect on that date, the
training sessions will be moved online. We expect our product experts to be in high demand as we assist teams in their transition to Hudl Sportscode; for that reason, if your organization is
considering using on-site consultation/training days for Hudl Sportscode onboarding, we urge
you to schedule those days as soon as possible.
NBA teams that have chosen pricing Tier 1 can pay $2,000 for an on-site consultation and training day.
The very best way for your organization to make an informed decision about adoption is to experiment with Hudl Sportscode as your schedule allows; this will help to clarify any questions you have about how your workflows can be executed in the new platform; as you experiment with Hudl Sportscode, please continue to share feedback with me; I can then bubble up that feedback to our Product Team.
As a reminder, the current macOS “sweet spot”
for teams is 10.14 Mojave; this provides end-users the flexibility to run either Sportscode Classic or Hudl Sportscode; until a team has a specific timeline for organization-wide adoption of Hudl Sportscode, 10.14 is the macOS you will want on all machines running Sportscode.
If you are interested to run Hudl Sportscode
in parallel with Sportscode Classic and your machine is running 10.14 macOS, you can download Hudl Sportscode by clicking the url below:
