Discover the Digital Equipment Corporation's PDP-8 minicomputer in person!
Kyle Owen (biography on back) will bring a PDP-8/M from the mid-1970s to demonstrate live on stage booting an operating system, interacting with the computer through several programming languages, and will show modern add-ons to expand the capabilities of a 50-year-old computer. He will also discuss the history of the PDP-8, what made it so successful, and the technical details of the hardware.
Come and learn how anyone can run a simulated PDP-8 at home as well!
