Parents may NOT talk to or coach any players during the match. B) Coaches may walk onto or enter the court to coach at the appropriate times. Exceptions include bathroom breaks and suspension of play due to inclement weather. D) The 90-second period for coaching on a changeover begins immediately following the last game point, not when conversation begins. COACHES’ CODE OF CONDUCT The conduct of coaches before, during, and after any competition must be exemplary. Any deviation from this standard shall result in: — a direct warning from the Official or Referee; — if the coach’s behavior continues following the warning, the Referee or official shall immediately assess a point penalty against his player (on the court where the behavior occurred); if the behavior occurs off court, the point shall be assessed immediately on the higest match in progress; if the behavior occurs between the doubles and singles matches, then the penalties shall be assessed on the singles match once it begins; if the Referee assesses the penalty, there shall be no appeal; if an official assesses the penalty, the coach may appeal to the Referee, whose decision shall be final; — if there are any further behavior problems with the coach, the Referee may bar the coach from continuing to coach for the rest of the event; and — if the coach continues to coach, the Referee may declare a default of all the coach’s players and teams whose matches are still in progress. LINE-UP The line-up sheet for each individual match is to be submitted to the tournament site director at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled match time. Failure to turn in your lineup prior to your scheduled match time will result in the tournament official instituting penalties for lateness. Your lineup should be submitted in order of strength. A coach may change their lineup during the 10 minute break following the completion of singles or doubles by noti- fying the tournament site director, official and opposing coach. Your lineup shall still remain in order of strength.

DUAL MATCH FORMAT All tournament matches will use the following format: Three Doubles followed by Six Singles (3-6 Format) or Six Singles followed by Three Doubles (6-3 Format) The format is three eight game pro set doubles matches with no-ad scoring and a 12 point tie-break (first to 7 by a margin of 2) at eight games all followed by six singles matches consisting of two tie-break sets with no-ad scoring and a 10-point match tiebreak played at one set all. In matches marked with a * on the bracket a 6-3 Format will be used with singles played first. Dual Match Scoring: Team Point format. Team points will be awarded as described below: Each dual match will be worth nine total points. Each singles and doubles match is worth one point. Five or more points are required to win the team match. “No-Ad” Scoring Format: A No-Ad game is scored as follows with the server’s score being called first: No point “Love”

First point

Second point

Third point

Fourth point

If both players/teams have won three points each, the score is “deuce” and a deciding point shall be played. The receiver(s) shall choose whether to receive the service from the right half or the left half of the court. In doubles, the players of the receiving team cannot change positions to receive this deciding point. The player/team who wins the deciding point wins the “game”.

Match-TieBreak Scoring Format: When the score in a match is one set all, in a singles match, one tie-break game shall be played to decide the match. This tie-break game replaces the deciding final set. The player who first wins ten points shall win this match tie-break and the match provided there is a margin of two points over the opponent. When using the match tie-break to replace the final set: • the original order of service continues. • in doubles, the order of serving and receiving within the team may be altered, as in the beginning of each set. • before the start of the match tie-break there shall be a 120 seconds set break. Abandoning Matches: All Tournament matches shall be played to completion. Matches will NOT be abandoned once the resultt of the dual match has been determined, unless there are extenuating circumstances, such as inclement weather or when deemed necessary by the tournament committee. An unfinished match will be treated as a retirement by the withdrawing player/team.
