Congrats to Shelley Dinges (Notre Dame Prep) who won 4 Tickets to the 2016 US Open!
WHAT COACHES ARE SAYING... “This tournament is one of the highlights of our season. It really helps develop our players into a unified team. The format and atmosphere make it an extremely exciting and competitive event.” “Exciting to play teams from other parts of the country who you would never play!” “Excellent city, tennis facilities, strength of competition and tournament staff is why I will be bringing my team back next year!” “This is the best high school tournament ! It allows for great competition against schools you would not have an opportunity to play otherwise which is invaluable learning experience for the players. Plus great facilities, great city, and great organization makes this the best event possible!” “Great event, well run and the format allows for your team to play multiple players on your roster. Chattanooga is an excellent location with great tournament sites, good hotels and plenty of good restaurants.”

Comments: Great volunteers; Great staff; Everyone did a great job handling such a large tournament - each volunteer was active and engaged in each match; Adding a few extra officials would speed up getting matches started on time; Several other matches did not begin on time due to lack of numbers of officials; The officials and tournament desk were often not on the same page as to what courts certain matches were on.

Comments: Solid Officiating; Overall, very good officiating; USTA Officials were great; I think the officials need to understand the difference between a team match and a traditional USTA match; I felt the officials could have gotten matches on a bit more efficiently; I feel that each site could have used one more official, It would have kept matches moving a little faster and teams would have started on time; Officiating not consistent from site-to-site.

Comments: Awesome sites; Very impressive; All sites were top-notch; Baylor, Champions and McCallie were fantastic; It is difficult having some matches indoors and others outdoors; Numerous cracks on outdoor courts at Baylor, however indoor courts were great; Rivermont and Brainerd have layout issues and facilities not in best condition;

Comments: I think the athletes would prefer tshirts to bag tags; Very, very nice ammenities; Most well organized tournament in terms of website, social media, etc; Overall everything was excellent but we didn’t see water at every venue and the only snacks we saw were moon pies; Website results not easy to find, should be posted in draws/results section.
What did you enjoy most about this tournament?
What did you enjoy least about this tournament?
How do you think this tournament could have been improved?
- Strength of Draw/Location/Time of Year - I thought the tournament was very organized and the staff very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I thought most of the facilities were fantastic and the competition was great. - Location & Strength of Draw. The Player Party totally exceeded expectations - my team loved it! - The competition and format is really fun for the kids. - Team atmosphere with boys and girls at the same time, strength of competition and format. - USTA officials were great, courteous and knowledgeable. Strong opponents and good number of matches. - This tournament is so well thought out and organized. The teams that participate provide great competition. Overall, a wonderful tournament and well worth the effort and expenses to play!
- It was tough playing indoor/outdoor matches against the same team. - Doubles as 6 game pro-set, I’d prefer at least an 8 game pro-set. - No concession stand. - Late schedule on Friday night and then had to play early Saturday. - Same school’s boys/girls teams playing at same time at different locations. - Lack of communication from main site to other sites. - Having to drive to another site to pick up trophy. - Having to change sites during the tournament. - Some hotels far from playing sites. - Playing too late on Friday.
- I think the Marriott Downtown should give breakfast vouchers for the players. As the top hotel listed on the tournament site, it should be player friendly, which means providing them with food before they go play outside all day. - I realize pizza is easy for player party but if possible to have healthy side i.e. salad might be nice. - Shirts or medals for the division winners. - Better communication from site to site and keeping the website up to date. - I think tshirts are a better gift for the players. They have just learned to expect them and wear proudly. - Adjust the seeding procedure. - Regular scoring and/or 8-game prosets for doubles.
