Cultural Events Title Oktoberfest

CAA CULTURAL EVENTS The Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association (CAA) is a 501(c)(3)organization formed in 2001 to address the need for a cultural foundation in the rapidly growing community of Highlands Ranch. The CAA provides a central organization from which educational, artistic, musical, theatrical, and dance events are provided to the residents of Highlands Ranch and surrounding communities. The CAA’s ability to bring cultural events to Highlands Ranch is made possible in part by the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District.

Art Encounters Sculptures on Display Art Encounters is a year-long, revolving display of outdoor sculpture with pieces displayed in Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Parker, and Castle Rock now through May 2012. Visit www.HRCAonline.org for the locations in Highlands Ranch.Visit the Douglas County Art Encounters web site at www.douglas. co.us/artencounters for the location each piece of art for all the jurisdictions and vote for your favorite on the Art Encounters web site. Art Encounters is funded in part by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).

30th Anniversary Concert

Gather family, friends, and neighbors for a full day of great entertainment. Enjoy live music throughout the day, Dachshund races (registration 2:30; race 3:00 p.m.), great German bier, and authentic food. Browse vendor booths and check out the inflatable attractions and games for the whole family. Tickets will be available for games and rides. Concessions are cash-based and a valid photo I.D. will be required to purchase and consume alcohol. No exceptions. Highlands Ranch Days

History is fun and educational, especially at Highlands Ranch Days! Come celebrate your community’s heritage at the historic ranch adjacent to the Highlands Ranch Mansion. Due to renovation, the mansion will not be open for viewing, but unprecedented access to many of the ranch buildings will be available. This event features historical reenactments, black smithing, a petting zoo, western entertainment, a chuck wagon, and more. Hayrack rides will provide views of the ranch and the iconic windmill not typically seen by the public. On Thursday and Friday many school classes visit, but everyone is welcome. Saturday is family day; come early to enjoy the pancake breakfast and stay for the day.
