1. Reflecting on your career, can you share an accomplishment that stands out as particularly impactful, and how did it shape the trajectory of your professional journey?

My professional journey has been marked by a series of significant accomplishments, each representing a milestone in my career growth and development Out of all accomplishments, my elevation from senior manager to vice president in short span has been the trajectory to shape my professional journey

As an HR professional, empathy has always been my guiding principle I have made it a point to immerse myself in the field, not only spending time with employees across all levels of the organization but also with our clients I have made a concerted effort to understand their challenges and expectations firsthand

By maintaining a balance between professionalism and creating a comfortable environment, I have strived to bridge the gap between management and employees, fostering trust and collaboration During challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic, despite the economic uncertainties and financial constraints, played one of the key roles to ensure that the company did not resort to layoffs during the lockdown Instead, we were able to provide increments to our employees, demonstrating resilience, foresight, and compassion during unprecedented times This decision not only upheld our commitment to employee welfare but also strengthened loyalty and morale within the organization To win the trust of employees and management, brings contentment for the efforts and contribution that were made to justify my role

2. In your experience, what principles or strategies in leadership have proven most effective in steering teams and organizations toward success?

In my experience, I always believed to lead by example, making myself available to all employees regardless of their designation or my position in the hierarchy. One significant example of my leadership approach occurred when a junior employee experienced a tragic accident resulting in their passing. While it wasn't customary for management to visit bereaved families, I initiated this practice by personally visiting the family and attending the cremation. This act of compassion and solidarity resonated deeply with the organization, fostering a sense of community and support.

I firmly believe principles should not get diluted for personal short-term gains A leader should be mindful

“Adaptability and resilience, allows one to stand strong in today’s fast-paced and unpredictable environment. ”

when, where, what to state Leaders should demonstrate integrity, accountability, strong work ethic Along with being a good listener and communicator, a strong leader empowers their team by delegating responsibilities appropriately leading to cultivate sense of ownership and autonomy They foster a culture of innovation and improvement Leader should never forget to acknowledge the outstanding qualities of their team members and should direct them towards career advancement High emotional intelligence enables leaders to navigate conflicts, inspire confidence and build cohesive, high performing teams I have always strived strategically to analyze data, anticipate risk and consider long-term implication to drive organization’s sustainable success Adaptability and resilience, allows one to stand strong in today’s fast-paced and unpredictable environment When success is credited to team and failure to oneself, it reflects the very important attribute of a leader

I have continuously sought out creative solutions to address challenges and drive positive change. In the microfinance HR industry, I pioneered the introduction of QR codebased recruitment and offer details, revolutionizing the hiring process. I also got introduced IVR system for employees to directly speak with HR to be an immediate listener to address their concerns and providing impromptu solution. Being into human resource, I

prioritize to address emotions During Covid-19, corona virus posters were place on the office walls to hit them with darts, to allow employees to vent out their frustrated and grief feelings This made the environment lighter and build the culture of compassion Adaptability equips individuals with the agility, pliability, and creativity needed to navigate uncertainty and pioneer progress in ever-evolving landscapes

1. Reflecting on your career, can you share an accomplishment that stands out as particularly impactful, and how did it shape the trajectory of your professional journey?

Throughout my career, I've been fortunate to engage with diverse aspects of talent and simultaneously contribute to initiatives that have a broader impact on our ecosystem (in the capacity of YASH Foundation Lead) I firmly believe that an organization's culture is significantly influenced by the environment it operates in As such, I've collaborated with management to introduce various avenues for talent development, both within and outside the organization For Instance, we've focused on enhancing the employability of our current employees through upskilling and reskilling programs. Additionally, we've implemented initiatives to support external upskilling and reskilling efforts through various empowerment drives. While the specific contexts may vary, the essence remains the same: we're empowering not only our internal talent and culture but also the broader community around us. This insight has led me to recognize the pivotal role that HR can play in diversifying perspectives and expanding beyond routine tasks, thereby making a significant impact not only on internal culture but also in shaping the entire ecosystem.

2. In your experience, what principles or strategies in leadership have proven most effective in steering teams and organizations toward success?

Authenticity and listening are integral pillars of successful leadership and organizational culture Authentic leaders lead with genuineness, self-awareness, and integrity, staying true to their values and fostering trust through transparency In times of crisis, they

acknowledge mistakes openly and communicate effectively, instilling confidence and guiding the organization through challenges. Moreover, authenticity sets the tone for organizational culture, inspiring employees to uphold shared values and principles. When leaders prioritize transparency and integrity from the top down, they cultivate a culture of trust and accountability, where individuals feel empowered to contribute their best efforts towards achieving common goals. By actively listening to employee feedback and valuing diverse perspectives, leaders empower their teams, driving innovation and fostering a culture of collaboration. At YASH, it is just not about once in an year employee feedback survey rather through out the lifecycle there are many avenues of sharing feedback, infact we have implemented solutions like Qualtrics which is deeply integrated with lifecycle processes. Not limited to that social listening is also an essential aspect to gathering feedback.

1. Reflecting on your career, can you share an accomplishment that stands out as particularly impactful, and how did it shape the trajectory of your professional journey?

No entrepreneurial journey is without challenges. And the same happened with us. When the pandemic hit the world, we being primarily a Corporate Training company were hit badly as all our clients were also facing financial crunch and hence the spend on training and HR projects was stopped. So it got us thinking: Shall we consider this as a part of our fate and accept the calamity that has hit the business and wait for things to get back to normal? Shall we wait for our existing clients to open their doors for us ? In other words: “Is this almost the end of an amazing 4 year journey for Positive Vibes”? OR Is it A “HUGE OPPORTUNITY” IN THE WAITING? We realized that the current pandemic has hit the economy very badly, where numerous young and bright people have lost their jobs or are struggling to retain their jobs Team Positive Vibes with an endeavor to help such professionals and mentor them with our combined experience of 30 years in the corporate world, started offering specialised skill based Certification courses at very reasonable costs, in the lockdown The intent of offering these courses was to extend a very practical & innovative approach towards acquiring skills related to their respective fields which helps in adding weight to their knowledge, ultimately equipping them for getting better jobs in the market Not only this, we also helped many deserving professionals in finding jobs by revamping their Resume, doing Mock Interviews & providing placement assistance by circulating their CVs in our network & writing personal recommendation letters for them And today I’m very happy to share that many of our mentees have been able to find jobs even during the pandemic So what we realised is that it is imperative to change & adapt to the changing situation If you continue to run your business in the same way, irrespective of the changes in the environment and situation, the business will ultimately crumble Innovation is the key to grow any business and be ahead of competition and that’s what we did at Positive Vibes So if situation throws sour lemons at you, so instead of accepting the sour lemons and complaining, you squeeze those lemons and add your own sugar into it and make a tasty lemonade!

1. Reflecting on your career, can you share an accomplishment that stands out as particularly impactful, and how did it shape the trajectory of your professional journey?

I would like to share 2 aspects - one professional and one personal

On the professional front, throughout my career, I never limited myself to a particular role I was always open to explore and seize opportunities This approach has yielded invaluable benefits, leading to varied exposure across a wide spectrum of HR functions on a global scale I strongly believe that its essential to move out of your comfort zone for self-development and one should be open to grab opportunities as they come

On personal front, as a working mother, I still remember the emotional rollercoaster of returning to work after my maternity leave The guilt of leaving my child was overwhelming, but with the support of my family, I was able to transition back smoothly This experience instilled in me the importance of supporting other women in the workplace and I am proud to have been involved in diversity networks and mentoring initiatives both personally and professionally

2. In your experience, what principles or strategies in leadership have proven most effective in steering teams and organizations toward success?

Leadership for me is about inspiring and guiding your team and I believe in emphasizing on three key principles - Passion, Align and Trust (PAT) Passion is the driving force behind any successful endeavor. When you are passionate about your work, you are more likely to be in the flow and enjoy the journey to success. This is why it's important to find and nurture a team that’s as passionate as you are.

“In today's landscape, where AI is pervasive, it ' s vital to be curious because whether you ' re directly utilizing AI or not, AI is utilizing and impacting you and your environment ”

-Align your team by connecting to a bigger purpose, which will in turn drive results.

-Trust is essential and built by being transparent with your team. When you are transparent about your goals and communicate openly with your team, it helps to create a culture of trust and accountability, thus leading to success.

With PAT - you have the right mix for succeeding as a team.
