Q: What drove you to succeed, and what do you think made you stand out for this award?

I believe that if we put our heart & soul into anything which we want to achieve then eventually opportunities or ways to reach that goal starts to show up and it is our responsibility to snatch those opportunities at the right time. This is my mantra to success which helps me always. I am a firm-believer of giving back to the society. I have been involved in building tech communities where I can share my knowledge and motivate others about the growing field of technology. I am immensely fond of speaking at events, meet ups about technologies and am associated with communities such as Google Developers Groups, Women in Data Science, Girl Script Foundation, Women Who Code, SheCodes, etc. Delivered talks and trainings in various engineering colleges in Mumbai. I keep on exploring new stuffs and believe that one should never stop learning, try hands on tasks which will bring you outside your comfort zone and I think this made me stand out !

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in your journey, and how have they influenced your approach to work and leadership?

In my every walk of life, I have been fortunate to meet some brilliant minds who have inspired me immensely. At various course of events, when I did not believe in my capabilities, they trusted me with responsibilities and it helped me to grow and shine in my career. The various managers with whom I have worked in my job tenure have always inspired me. I have learnt life skills from them. Working with patience and alertness can resolve any major issues and this is a very important skill which I have learnt from my leads. They have taught me to deal with problems as well as people efficiently. Apart from managers and team leads, my Mom has been my biggest inspiration and supporter. Her support has made me capable of whatever I am today.

Q:What advice would you give to other young professionals who aspire to achieve similar success?

When I see the world around me, I feel that there are many young bright minds in this world who lack guidance and look for a path to help them achieve their dreams and I really desire to assist them in any way. I would advise that never be comfortable in your comfort zone and try exploring new domains. You might realize that there are interesting and challenging areas other than what you are working today, which can help you to grow more. ‘Be a Jack of All and Master of One’ This will help you to groom yourself for your professional life as knowledge gained is never wasted.

Q: How do you balance ambition and personal growth with maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

I try to time-box things which means assigning a stipulated period of time to tasks according to their priority. Many a times mobile, internet and social media make us distracted and we tend to spend much more time towards a task than required because of distractions. Hence it is important to take up a task, time-box it and then work towards completing it without any disturbance or distraction. This will help to finish off work on time and we will eventually have more time towards our family and friends which are as important as our career Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the next few years, and how do you plan to continue growing and making an impact in your field?

My number one goal is to keep on enhancing my technical skills to become capable of managing and building large scale applications. I desire to become efficient enough to handle teams and guide them well in creating some wonders in the field of technology. Learning and Implementing is my moto to continue growing.

Akash Choudhary is a Growth and Operations Associate at 5ire, one of the unicorns in the Indian startup ecosystem, where he plays a pivotal role in advancing blockchain and Web3 technologies. His efforts have significantly shaped the strategic direction of the company. Akash has collaborated with state governments and police departments in both India and the U.S. to implement smart policing solutions. He secured substantial funding from Japanese investors and represented 5ire at the Newchip Accelerator. Additionally, he has been instrumental in developing educational initiatives with Niti Aayog and managing patent filings for new technologies, contributing to 5ire's competitive edge. He has also collaborated with the advisory board by involving key figures such as Didier Drogba and professors from UC Berkeley.

I prioritise by setting clear goals and boundaries, ensuring that while I am working, I do not compromise my health or personal time. Effective time management plays a key role; I strive to be efficient during work hours so that I can enjoy undisturbed personal time.

Regularly engaging in hobbies and spending time with loved ones helps me recharge and maintain perspective.

My drive to succeed stems from a deep-seated passion for emerging technologies and their potential to revolutionize various industries.

What likely made me stand out for this award was my eagerness to explore diverse use cases for blockchain and Web3 technologies, and my commitment to not just understand these innovations, but to expand their applications.

Inspired by Mr. Tata, I’ve learned that leading with empathy, being approachable, and understanding the impact of each decision on individuals is key to building trust and fostering a positive work culture. At the same time, I aim to remain aligned with the organization’s goals, ensuring that each decision is not only fair but also data-driven and strategic. His leadership has shown me that it’s possible to support both the people and the business, and that is what I strive to achieve in my role every day.

What has driven me to succeed in my career so far is a clear focus on my goals and a strong commitment to achieving them. As an HRBP, it’s my responsibility to address the concerns of my colleagues and stakeholders while supporting the business in meaningful ways.

Take Notes Keeping detailed notes helps you stay organized and ensures you don’t miss important details or action items.

As an HRBP, my biggest inspiration has been Mr. Ratan Tata, whose leadership exemplifies a perfect balance of empathy and strategic decision-making. His approach of putting people at the center of business decisions while driving long-term success has deeply influenced how I operate in my role.

By leading diverse learning initiatives and consistently delivering measurable results, I was able to address the unique needs of a wide range of professionals. My dedication to continuous learning, exemplified by certifications from Dale Carnegie and Harvard Business School, ensured that I stayed at the forefront of industry trends and best practices.

Additionally, my ability to translate complex concepts into engaging, actionable training materials and my success in mentoring other facilitators contributed to my recognition.

Additionally, my senior mentor, Marina Dziedzic, played a crucial role in shaping me into a well-rounded professional. Her guidance helped me develop essential skills and insights that have been instrumental in my growth.

Currently, I am fortunate to be guided by industry stalwart Pallavi Kar. Her mentorship is instrumental as I continue to evolve and refine my expertise in Talent & Development.

While there is still much for me to achieve, I’m happy to share a few insights from my journey that might help other young professionals aiming for success. First, remain observant and open to learning from those around you.

Interacting with a diverse range of people can provide valuable perspectives and help you continuously learn and unlearn essential skills.

Stepping out of your comfort zone is crucial.

Don’t hesitate to explore different verticals within your domain. This breadth of experience can offer new insights and opportunities that you might not encounter if you confine yourself to a narrow focus.

In the field of Learning & Development, successful professionals should prioritize understanding the unique needs of their audience and adapt their approaches accordingly. Emphasize continuous learning and stay updated with industry trends.

Balancing ambition and personal growth with a healthy work-life balance is essential for sustained success and well-being. One key strategy I use is recognizing the importance of regular breaks. Taking time to step back and reflect helps me gain perspective, assess my progress, and realign my goals.

These breaks are crucial for personal growth, allowing me to recharge and return to work with renewed energy and clarity.

Equally important is the support system provided by my family and friends. I feel incredibly blessed to have their encouragement and understanding.

They help me maintain a healthy perspective, offering both support and motivation. Their presence allows me to manage stress effectively and keep a balanced approach to my professional and personal life.

All my managers have been supportive enough to let me learn things at my pace, especially when I initially started my professional journey, and encouraged me to take bigger responsibilities.

Our HOD and his team members are the one who introduced the HR Management Trainee Program, through which I was hired and trained to have a smooth transition from campus to corporate. And all my HR colleagues who currently work along with me, and the ones who have worked with me in the past, they all have been a great support.

working with several leaders on strategic initiatives, but I want to highlight my current manager, Mrs. Madhavi Juttiyavar, and my former manager, Mr. Sanjay Talreja. They have been the backbone of my career; achieving what I have would have been impossible without their guidance. Their transparency and willingness to help their function grow, their passion and determination towards their work, their trust and empowerment to their team members are some of their noteworthy management styles which I admire and strive to emulate. I can truly say they transformed me from a clueless beginner into a rising star in the corporate world!

I attribute this award to my varied experience into sub-domains of Learning and Development (L&D) function, whilst specialized focus on Freshers training into L&D, that’s always being open to opportunities coming my way though some might not be directly inclined to my role. Wow, that’s an interesting question! I am a firm believer in my passion and purpose in everything I do. I strongly believe that one should always have a purpose in life, rather than just live a mundane existence. The past few years have been filled with ups and downs, and sometimes the rollercoaster ride was hard to handle. But I think I’m born to take risks.

These risks have occasionally backfired, but they’ve also given me a 100% boost in the right direction. At a young age, I’ve gained some noteworthy experiences and interacted with, and learned from, many remarkable people from around the world. Given my expertise, experience, and caliber, I feel very well suited to be part of any organization working towards meaningful change.

My biggest inspiration has always been my mother. She earned her PhD at just 25 years old, and I grew up watching her seamlessly managing both her personal and professional life. I'm a morning person, and I prefer to align my day with the natural flow of life - a habit I picked up from my mother. I am currently in the process of resetting my goals to align with the evolving landscape of the industry.

Cyber security is a demanding field, and we need to adapt and upgrade ourselves constantly. My aim has never been to simply

become a CISO - I want to explore every vertical within cyber security, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the field.
