Approval of Minutes. There being no discussion, the meeting Minutes of November 16, 2019 was accepted.

COMMITTEE REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS.

Administrative Committee 20-1: That the Executive Board raise the Executive Director/Treasurer’s salary for the year 2020 from $99,500.00 to $106,000.00. Approved.

20-3: That the Executive Board accept Chris Martin’s request for Sabbatical Leave to be taken beginning August 10, 2020 to September 21, 2020 for the purpose of completing his dissertation for Ph.D. Approved.

20-4: That the Executive Board accept the job description for the position of Assistant Executive Director of Business and Finance, as amended, dated February 2020. Approved.

20-5: That the Executive Board adopt the HPBC 2020 Task Force Charter, dated January 31, 2020. Approved.

Operations Committee 20-7: That the Executive Board approve the engagement of CW Associates to audit the 2019 financial statements of the HPBC, at a cost not to exceed $24,000. Approved.

20-8: That the Executive Board approve entering into a one-year lease agreement with Rev. Craig Webb to enable him to lease the top residential unit at our Nehoa Street Property for $1,300 per month, exclusive of utility costs, up to a year. The lease will be subject to his continued employment by HPBC. Approved.

20-9: That the Executive Board approve designating $350,000 of the New Church Property Fund. Approved.

Approval of Minutes. There being no discussion, minutes was approved without objection.

COMMITTEE REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS.

Operations Committee 20-10: That the Executive Board, without setting a precedence, approve the cancellation, removal, discharge, and release of the reversionary clause in favor of Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention in the Quitclaim Deed, dated May 26, 2016, filed in the Bureau of Conveyances of the State of Hawaii as Document No. A-59620718, pertaining to TMK (3) 6- 8-002-031, lot 1-B only. This action is being taken as a gracious concession to Waikoloa Lutheran Church to overcome errors that were made when

Waikoloa Baptist Church sold a portion of its land, with a reversionary clause in the deed, to Waikoloa Lutheran Church, without written consent of the Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention. Approved. From September 26, 2020

Approval of Minutes. There being no discussion nor corrections to the Minutes of July 25, 2020, minutes were approved with no objections.

COMMITTEE REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS.

Administrative Committee 20-11: That the Executive Board recommend that Hwansoo Jang from New Community Baptist Church to serve on the Arrangements Committee for the remainder of the year. Approved.

20-12: That the Executive Board approve the proposed entire budget for 2021. Approved.

20-13: That the Executive Board approve to apply for forgiveness of PPP when it becomes available. Approved.

20-14: That the Executive Board increase the housing allowance for Brian Smart to $38,000 for remaining part of this year. Approved.

Operations Committee 20-15: The Operations Committee met and reviewed the audit report prepared by the accounting firm of CW Associates for the year ended December 31, 2019. The audit opinion states in part, “… the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the Convention as of December 31, 2019 and 2018, and the changes in its net assets and its cash flow for the years then ended in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the U.S.” The Operations Committee respectfully recommends the acceptance of the audit report. Approved.

20-16: The Operations Committee also reviewed the proposed 2021 budget, and respectfully recommends the approval of the proposed budget without further changes as presented. The committee also notes of the estimated reduction of revenue from CP will result with net operating loss of approximately $318,000 in 2021 and estimated net loss at Pu`u Kahea of $160,000. Approved.

20-17: The Operations Committee approved a month-to-month lease to Joe and Jenn Jung for use of the dorm unit at $300/month.

20-18: At the July 17, 2020 Operations Committee meeting, the Committee approved to lease the entire residential unit at Nehoa to Craig Webb, but there’s no rent amount was discussed. In its September 21, 2020 Operations meeting, the Committee approved to lease the Nehoa residential unit at $1,600/mo. On a month-to-month basis effective October 1, 2020.
