Howe fifth and sixth grade fall to 2-2 on the season

The Third and Fourth Grade Howe Bulldogs traveled to Bells to take on the Trenton Tigers this week as they reach the midway mark in the regular season The Tigers would take the first possession and on the second play the Bulldog nose guard Aris Fox would force his first of three fumbles of the day


Tank Turner recovered it which set up the offense and their first score with a run from tailback Braden Ulmer off the left tackle The Bulldogs would recover their second fumble on the next series and again convert it to points with a run by Ulmer two plays later

Carson Duree scored Howe's lone touchdown of the game on Saturday for Howe's first grade flag football team Carson Chandler led the team with six flag-pulls
The second graders were defeated by Celina, 33-8 with Bryce Pieper scoring Howe's lone touchdown Duree, also playing for the second grade, led the team with three flag- pulls
The 5th grade Bulldogs were defeated by Celina, 26-12 Anthony Lowder and Caleb Hix each caught touchdown passes from quarterback Hunter Hance
Zeb Montgomery led Howe in flag-pulls and Lowder intercepted a Bobcat pass

The Kiindergarten-Second grade Howe Bulldogs traveled to Trenton on Saturday to play the Whitewright Tigers The first half was a defensive battle and resulted in a scoreless first half After half time the Bulldogs were on fire In the third quarter, Riken Cross scored the first touchdown of the game Then Braxton Buttery recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff Kendall O'Brien would
Beau Stephens tricked a Tiger player into touching a short kickoff then fall on the ball to put the Bulldogs back on offense for the third time in the first quarter
Quarterback Garren Lankford broke loose for his fist score of the day and threw a perfect pass to Ulmer to secure the two point conversion score a few plays later for the Bulldogs. By the end of the third quarter, How was leading, 13-6 O'Brien scored again in the fourth quarter to help secure the win Emerson Stevens, Samantha Fuhr, Charles Fuhr, and Noah Fox played outstanding defense Howe left Trenton with a 19-6 win over Whitewright and move their record to 3-1 on the season Bulldogs travel to Bells to play the S&S Rams at noon on Saturday
The Bulldogs shut down the Tigers in the second half and added to their lead with two more touchdowns in the third quarter by Ulmer and Lankford to secure the 35-0 win over the Tigers and move to 3-1 on the season Howe will take on Leonard (1-2) next Saturday in Leonard.
Circus coming to Howe
Keep Howe Beautiful will once again host a circus coming to Howe On Friday, October 7, Culpepper & Merriweather will be at Jones Park for a repeat circus performance that they put on back in 2014 There will be two shows (5:00 and 7:30) Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for kids ages 212 and seniors over 65 Tickets will be on sale at the Howe, Gunter and Van Alstyne Post Offices, Howe Independent Bank, and Kyrie's Coffee Shop
