Braswell gets another catch at Houston Livestock Show

Zach Braswell of Howe got notice from the judges and credted with a catch at the Houston Livestock Show for pinning a calf He was also picked by the donors for his efforts.

Karen Braswell, has had quite a successful month At the Forth Worth Livestock Show in February, he earned a $500 purchase certificate in the calf scramble He also showed a breed champion hog at the Texoma Livestock Show at Loy Lake Park

Game of inches hurts Howe in lightning delayed game

The Howe Bulldogs varsity baseball team battled two lightning delays to get a game in the Pilot Point It got off to a tough start when the Bearcats scored four runs in the bottom of the first Howe starter Griffin Underwood took an inning to really get settled in and get command of his pitches Three of Pilot Point's runs came on a triple by Hunter Balderas

"The impressive things about this game for us is how we competed " said Head Coach Torrey Ognoskie

In the second inning David Crees led off with a single and stole second He scored on a single from Peyton Reagan Underwood helped his own cause in the third with a two-run single that scored Nick Wilson and Brennan Ross Zach Blevins reached on an error in the sixth and scored on a fielders choice groundball from Crees to tie the game at four

Howe took the lead in the sixth when Wilson reached on an infield single He moved to second on a wild pitch and then scored when a Ross grounder to short was overthrown into right field.

"Underwood was fantastic after the first " said Ognoskie "He really settled in and had command of both sides of the plate We didn't help him out in the seventh the way we needed to "
