1,359 miles separate Howe, Texas from Baltimore, Maryland. It seems as if it might as well be half way around the world as we sit in our comfy chairs in our sweet little town who's most confrontation seems to be whether to have the chicken fried steak or the chick fried chicken at Abby's at the noon lunch hour. I really shouldn't, but I giggle at the thought of riots and hate crimes in downtown Howe. And if it ever does happen, I hope it's not on a Monday because we can't have lunch in Van Alstyne - everything is closed on Mondays

Speaking of downtown, Salvage Junky will be moving her store out of downtown to the 200 block of Denny Street across from the First Baptist Church. Just last year, Todd Creekmore's business of Advantage Business Machines moved out of the location into downtown No word yet as to whether Georgia Caraway, owner of the three spaces on the north side downtown will expand her business, Howe Mercantile, or lease to a future tenant
