Continued from Page #1 a Payton Griffin triple followed by an Erin Blackburn sac fly, the Lady Bulldogs again scored one in the fifth after Anderson reached on a fielder’s choice, moved to third on an error and then scored on a Torrey Stubblefield sac fly which extended the Lady Bulldogs lead to 5-1.
The Lady Bulldogs piled on four more runs in the top of the sixth. Emily Sanders singled, Blackburn singled and Madisyn Hargrove drove a double into the gap bringing home Kamryn Fulencheck who was running for Sanders, and Blackburn That was followed up by Peyton Streetman's single, plating Hunter Brokelman who was a courtesy runner for Hargrove

Two runs in the bottom of the sixth helped Bowie close its deficit to 93 Bowie continued the late rally in the 7th loading up the bases with one out At that point Rupert went to his freshman pitcher, Torrey Stubblefield (6-0, 0.70 ERA) to close the game.
“I could tell the sun and the warm day was starting to take its toll a little bit on Mads", said Rupert "We had a close play at 3rd that led to the bases being loaded If we get that out its two outs and runners at first and second and I would have probably left her out there ”
Stubblefield, who came straight into the game from second base, quickly got behind at 2-0 and on the next pitch gave up a three-run triple to deep left field clearing the bases and reducing the lead to 9-6.
“We talked all week about no walks and in that situation Torrey just had to throw it down the middle and hope for the best " said Coach Rupert
Stubblefield quickly showed why she is one of the best young talents in all of north Texas by quickly striking out two and clinching the save and the bidistrict championship for the Lady Bulldogs
Madisyn Hargrove got the win for the Lady Bulldogs despite allowing six runs over 6 1/3 innings. Hargrove struck out two, walked four and gave up seven hits. Coach Rupert was proud of his sophomore starter.
“I though Madisyn did a great job I know the book will say she continued on Page #5
