“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord,” Psalm 27:14

Waiting on God is easier said than done The times of waiting can prove to be weary

I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase "God's timing is perfect", but to trust that phrase is an entirely different story Circumstances can quickly cloud your vision of God’s sovereignty It’s easy to allow your request that you are waiting for to be more like a prize to be won. While the Holy Spirit within you may nudge otherwise, it is so easy to be drawn into the thinking that somehow your faithfulness to endure will prove you are worthy to receive your requests In Luke 18, Jesus teaches us that our persistence and consistency in prayer does matter when it comes to petitioning God, However, He closes with an emotional question: "But when the Son of Man returns, how many will He find on earth that have faith?" We are to persist in the asking but the lesson is that the purpose of our persistence is faith

“My brother, count it all joy when

“I don’t speak in regard to need; I have learned to be content in all circumstances. I know how to be abased and how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” Philippians 4:1113 The enduring pushed Paul to become more and more like Jesus, who is altogether perfect and lacks nothing The same is true for us As you endure through the waiting, keep your eyes focused on the truth that your entire lives purpose is to grow more and more into the image of your Lord Jesus You can reach a place of peace and contentment, no longer needing what you have been asking for. You will come to see that all you truly need is more of Jesus. God's timing truly is perfect, even when it does not feel to be so. Waiting on God is the toughest thing I do In fact, it's more than tough and sometimes I fail miserably I've seen God perform the most amazing things; miraculous conception, healing, financial breakthroughs and bring loved ones who were thought without hope to the saving knowledge of Him God answers prayers I’ve also had prayers not be answered as I asked I choose to trust God’s timing

If you are in that season of waiting on an answer, I encourage you to fix your eyes on Jesus and with an
