Ice Storm 2015
Last Sunday night, a winter storm began to hit North Texas and several bridges began to get a little slippery As a matter of fact, it was such a slippery forecast that school was cancelled for Monday on Sunday evening The roads became extremely dangerous Monday with several accidents and US 75 shutdown several times
Tuesday morning proved no better as school was again suspended and US 75 was again shutdown at times. However, by noon, much of the sleet had melted on the streets.

The weather was so bad that the boys varsity bi-district championship game was moved from Tuesday night to Wednesday night in Decatur

Kids returned to school on Wednesday and by the afternoon, it looked like things were over and life could resume
However, Friday morning saw another wintry mix enter the picture and instead of sleet, Howe had lovely puffy snow. School was let out early, at noon, so that parents could get their children before the roads worsened in the sudden storm
