ship and is a Vice President of the Economic Alliance of the Houston Port Region. He is also Chairman of the Pearland Development Authority, and the Pearland Area Citizens Corps. Mayor Reid believes that regional partnerships on transportation, surface water, and air quality are essential to economic growth and quality of life for both Pearland and the Houston Gulf Coast area. He is working with local, regional, and state organizations and officials to make Pearland a quality city that will make us all proud to say we live in Pearland.

Traffic and Roadway Projects

We should all be proud that Pearland is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation – but growth brings challenges. We must strengthen our city for the future by continuing multiple transportation solutions for Pearland commuters such as Park and Ride, light rail, and support the toll lanes for SH-288. We must also complete our city roadway and street construction plans to provide mobility and other major capital improvements for our citizens.

Public Safety and City Services

We must continue Pearland’s recognized quality of life by managing our growth and continue to provide quality Police, Fire, EMS, and City Services. We must maintain our small town atmosphere, and brand Pearland as a Destination City with museums, cultural amenities and shopping and dining opportunities expected of the Gulf Coast’s 3rd largest city by population.

Quality of Life and Growth

Mayor Reid recognizes that rapid growth is not the same as quality growth. He feels we are fortunate to have a dedicated Council and professional staff that have worked in partnership with other community organizations to make Pearland a special place to live, work, and play. He will provide proven leadership and experience in city government and will work to continue the progress that has been made.

Economic Growth and Taxes

We must grow our economy by keeping our taxes as low as we can afford and still provide quality City Services and continue to make Pearland a unique city that will attract corporations and businesses to develop a strong economic development tax. ----------------------------------------------------Political Ad Paid for by the Campaign to Re-Elect Mayor Tom Reid 2017

W

Make “NO” Mistake About it…Mayor Tom Reid Values the Vote, Prayers and Support of “EVERY” Pearlander. REPORT by AUBREY R. TAYLOR

What’s supposed to be a nonpartisan city-wide election in Pearland is more liken to a Presidential Election or Midterm Election if you ask me. In case you’re a newbie to politics: the term nonpartisan is generally used in a couple different ways. Oftentimes you’ll see it used by some government agencies (such as the Internal Revenue Service and the Federal Election Commission) when they describe groups, or perhaps individuals who do not support on political party or candidate or another based on their political affiliation. However, you will also see the term used when referring to groups or entities who “DO NOT SUPPORT ANY PARTICULAR POLITICAL IDEOLOGY” – but I digress.

PRECINCT 12 (HAS 3,291 REGISTERED VOTERS). Mayor Tom Reid beat his challenger Quentin Wiltz soundly (220 TO 68) in this precinct back in the General Election. Woody Owens also beat Dalia Kasseb in this precinct back in the General Election. Not only that, Sherry Stockwell, G.C. Sonny Atkins and Terry Gray, candidates endorsing Woody Owens in the Pearland City Council Position #7 race also ran very competitive races in this district. MAYOR TOM REID is asking for your vote!

PRECINCT 13 (HAS 4,051 REGISTERED VOTERS). Mayor Tom Reid beat his challenger Quentin Wiltz soundly (288 TO 168) in this precinct back in the General Election. Dalia Kasseb beat Woody Owens here (144 TO 118) in this precinct back in the General Election. But Sherry Stockwell, G.C. Sonny Atkins and Terry Gray, candidates endorsing Woody Owens in the Pearland City Council Position #7 earned a combined total of (179 VOTES) in this precinct. MAYOR TOM REID needs your vote!

“WE WOULD LIKE TO REMIND YOU THAT MAYOR TOM REID VALUES THE VOTE OF EVERY VOTER IN PEARLAND, TEXAS.” PRECINCT 54 (HAS 2,943 REGISTERED VOTERS). This is a precinct where Quentin Wiltz should also beat Mayor Tom Reid soundly in this precinct. He gained two-times the number of votes as Mayor Tom Reid in this precinct back in the General Election. Wiltz gained (222 TO 102) for Mayor Tom Reid in this precinct. Dalia Kasseb also ran away with this precinct back in the General Election. YOUR VOTE FOR MAYOR TOM REID would really help him to put on a good showing in this precinct. PRECINCT 59 (HAS 5,052 REGISTERED VOTERS). This is one of the precinct where Quentin Wiltz is more than likely going to beat Mayor Tom Reid soundly. He almost gained three-times the number of votes as Mayor Tom Reid in this precinct back in the General Election. Wiltz gained (444 TO 143) for Mayor Tom Reid in this precinct. Dalia Kasseb also ran away with this precinct back in the General Election. Both candidates are going to do very well in this precinct in their respective races. EVERY VOTE WILL COUNT in this precinct.

PRECINCT 60 (HAS 672 REGISTERED VOTERS). This is one of those precincts where anything can happen. However, Quentin

Wiltz beat Mayor Tom Reid in this precinct back in the General Election. Dalia Kasseb gained over three-times as many votes as any of her five (5) opponents in this precinct. My gut tells me that both she and Quentin Wiltz are probably going to win this precinct by narrow margins. PRECINCT 61 (HAS 4,348 REGISTERED VOTERS). Mayor Tom Reid ran away with this precinct by beating his challenger Quentin Wiltz (327 TO 121) here. Woody Owens also beat Dalia Kasseb in this precinct. I expect for both Mayor Tom Reid and Woody Owens to win big in this precinct.

PRECINCT 62 (HAS 3,874 REGISTERED VOTERS). Quentin Wiltz beat Mayor Tom Reid in this precinct (195 TO 135) back in the General Election. He will probably beat Mayor Tom Reid here by a small margin in the Saturday, June 10, 2017 Runoff Election -- especially with Dalia Kasseb performing so well in this precinct. LET’S MOVE FORWARD TOGETHER!

PRECINCT 67 (HAS 3,510 REGISTERED VOTERS). Quentin Wiltz will more than likely really take it to Mayor Tom Reid in this precinct in the Saturday, June 10, 2017 Runoff Election. Keep in mind that he beat Mayor Tom Reid (270 TO 75) in this precinct back in the General Election. Dalia Kasseb is going to really run up the numbers on Woody Owens in this precinct as well – if voter turnout is heavy in this precinct. MAYOR TOM REID is asking for the vote of every voter in this precinct. PRECINCT 537 (HAS 3,021 REGISTERED VOTERS). Mayor Tom Reid really handed it to Quentin Wiltz in this precinct, beating him (275 TO 93). Woody Owens did a number on Dalia Kasseb in this precinct as well. Woody beat Dalia (193 TO 66) in this precinct. I expect both Mayor Tom Reid and Woody Owens to win by very large margins of victory in this precinct.

PRECINCT 654 (HAS 447 REGISTERED VOTERS). The turnout is so low in this precinct -- who knows what’s going to happen. Mayor Tom Reid beat Quentin Wiltz here (7 TO 4). CAST YOUR VOTE FOR MAYOR TOM REID in this precinct. PRECINCT 762 (HAS 407 REGISTERED VOTERS). This is another one of those precincts where anything can happen. This

precinct has 407 registered voters however, only four (4) voters participated in the race for Mayor of Pearland. Quentin Wiltz beat Mayor Tom Reid (3 TO 1) in this precinct.
