In case you don’t know, George Goffney, Jr. forced Constable Christopher Diaz into a runoff and nearly beat him. So, George will be on the ballot again on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the Democratic Party Primary in the race for Constable for Precinct 2. And yes, he’s asking for your vote and support. George Goffney, Jr. has dedicated his life and career to energy and law enforcement.

Having grown up in the rural community of Dickinson, Texas – just south of the Houston Metroplex – Mr. Goffney, has always exhibited a dedication to and need for a safe and functional community that embraces respect, diversity and ethical practices.

Energy Sector. Attaining a degree as a technology operator, he secured employment at Rohm & Haas where he made a successful career as a plant operator and most tenured operator. In the transactional merging of Rohm & Haas with Dow Chemicals, leadership elected to keep Mr. Goffney on as the most tenured Plant Operator/Trainer with 40+ years of experience.

During his time at Rohm & Haas, George continued his education by attending the police academy at College of the Mainland.

Having successfully graduated and passing the TCLEOSE exam, Mr. Goffney was commissioned as a certified police officer and joined the Galveston County Sherriff’s Department. Working diligently within the community, in neighborhoods, building relationships with business owners and young people - Mr. Goffney became a community icon having made his presence known in his local community and hometown.

Mr. Goffney is a native Texan and takes great joy in caring for his mother whom resides in Dickinson, Texas. He is the father of seven and grandfather of twelve. He married to City of Houston Fire Fighter Carla West Goffney and they reside in Friendswood, Texas. In their spare time they enjoy travel, spending time with the grandchildren and hosting family events at home. stitute (NCFI).

In 2003-2008, Judge Jackson was appointed by the Mayor and City Council as a Fulltime Municipal Court Judge for the City of Houston.

During her tenure as a Municipal Court Judge, she also served as a trainer and instructor for the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center.

She was a Municipal Bond Attorney and a certified Mediator.Bar Association, and the Mexican American Bar Association. She serves on the Harris County Bench Bar Pro Bono Awards Committee. She is a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and the Houston Bar Foundation. She previously served as past Co-Chair on the Speakers Bureau Committee for the Houston Bar Association and the Board of Directors for Texas A&M University School of Law.
