This semi-escorted tour takes in the highlights of the Amalfi Coast; Pompeii, the Isle of Capri & famous Blue Grotto, Positano the Jewel of the Amalfi Coast, staying two nights in Sorrento and two nights in the town of Amalfi.
Follow a walking route along ancient paths and stairways linking isolated villages, across hills with lemon and chestnut groves, vineyards and meadows. Along the way enjoy the divine Campania cuisine and lively hospitality.
Day 1: Milan – Stresa Transfer from Milan to your hotel in Stresa. Spend the afternoon exploring this delightful town at your leisure before enjoying a welcome dinner at the hotel.
Day 1: Rome–Naples–Pompeii–Sorrento First stop Naples then onto Pompeii, destroyed by the eruption of Mt Vesuvius in 79AD. Your guide with take you on a journey of this ancient city giving you an understanding of Roman life.
Day 1-2: Ravello Arrive Ravello, explore the elegant villas and monuments followed by a walk down to the quaint fishing village of Atrani.
Day 2: Borromean Islands Board a morning ferry for a leisurely excursion to the Borromean Islands. Visit the Borromean Palace on Isola Bella, famous for its baroque art and fine Italian gardens. Continue to Isola Madre, the biggest of the three islands, known for its English-style gardens and lovely flowers. End your trip on Isola dei Pescatori, where you can relax, take in the scenery and poke around the small souvenir market.
Day 2: Isle of Capri A full day excursion to the Isle of Capri. Ferry across to the island, visit the Blue Grotto, have lunch in the town of Anacapri, some time to explore before returning to Sorrento.
Day 3: Stresa Spend the day exploring the lakeshore at your leisure. We suggest a visit to the magnificent Villa Taranto, whose terraced gardens contain more than 202,000 trees and plants from all over the world. Day 4: Stresa – Milan Enjoy breakfast before returning to Milan.
Day 4: Amalfi Today is yours. Spend it in Amalfi, the historic centre is like an outdoor museum as it preserves much of the towns rich maritime past. Visit Ravello and its beautiful villas and gardens. Or relax on the beach.
Day 5-6: Praiano Walk through ancient villages along the 1,000 year old Maestro dei Villagi footpath to Praiano. Continue to the Valley of Praia, where many vineyards cling to the cliffs, and on to the beginning of the famous Pathway of the Gods. Day 7: Pathway of the Gods to Positano Today is the most scenic walk on the Amalfi Coast – the Pathway of the Gods. The track is rocky and barren in parts with steep stone steps at either end, but the views are as divine as the name suggests. Day 8: Positano Arrangements end after breakfast in Positano.
Day 5: Amalfi–Pompeii–Rome Morning in Amalfi before returning to Rome.

Day 3: Sorrento–Positano–Amalfi Travel along the breath-taking Amalfi Coast drive to Positano. You have some time to explore this picturesque village, the narrow lanes, shops, or church of Santa Maria Assunta. Then it’s onto Amalfi.
Day 3-4: Amalfi Walk to Amalfi via Scala, the “oldest little city” of the coast, along the high path of the Valle delle Ferriere. Free day in Amalfi relaxing or exploring.
