China has a long history, which is especially renowned for its warm hospitality for guests from different countries. Gifts that are rich in meaning and Chinese characteristics reveal the grand attitude and affection. In Zhou Dynasty, people bring gifts when they visited friends. Different place has different customs. Consequently, the choice of gifts and how to express the feeling for their beloved one are various. Empire, literati and folk, different social status in China, share the same sentiment towards the receivers. Precious gifts connect the friends overseas and spread amity around the world.

Tripod is a kind of bronze container in ancient China, which is craved upon delicate patterns. Tripod is originally a cooker, and then served as a piece of symbol of power.
In Qing Dynasty, royal family has a special flavor for clockwork. It can be found ten more relevant articles about it. Matteo Ricci, an Italian missionary in 17th century, gave two clockwork to Empire Wanli, which is the first clockwork collection in the Forbidden City.
