From the CEO...
I’m so proud to see how each of you have embraced our goal to serve more patients longer. It’s exciting to see the results of your efforts as we begin to roll out subWIG projects like our Ambassador Program, Heart ConnectionSM and our new nursing home outreach piece, not to mention all the hard work that went into achieving Level Two Hospice Partner status in the national We Honor Veterans program. A huge thanks to everyone who played a role in developing and executing these programs! At the same time we’re launching new programs, we’re looking at where our core services can make the biggest impact. While there is certainly a need for our services throughout Kentucky and Indiana, we believe we can do the most good — and help the most people— right now in our current markets. We’re continuing to explore growth opportunities outside our area, but we’ve decided to delay additional expansion for up to one year.

Instead, we will devote our energy to driving growth in our current footprint while concentrating on improving the quality and scope of our care for all our patients and families, and as importantly, our processes and work flow. We couldn’t do any of this without the most dedicated missiondriven team in the country. Not only are we focusing on improving the quality of life for our patients, we are exploring ways to enhance quality of life for our greatest asset — our employees. We are looking at how we can expand clinical teams to maximize opportunities to deliver care at the bedside, all the while remaining the “best in class” hospice and palliative care provider.
