Culture is diverse, personal, collective, emotional, symbolic but very real. It’s shaped by people, the past, landscape, language, beliefs, morals, objects, customs, similarities and differences; it’s what defines us and makes us who we are.
The Year of Culture 2019 is a chance to discover, recognise and above all celebrate the wonderful and amazing things and people we have in the area and begin to put the Horsham District on the cultural map and gain the recognition it deserves.
This programme gives you just a taster and flavour of what’s planned for the first half of 2019 from January to June – our second programme covering July to December coming soon.
Some events are free, others paid for and a few are ongoing events and projects. Some are small with an audience of 12 and others will be big with audiences of 600 or more – check online for details.
