First of all, we want to thank you for attending and your interest in the Inaugural Big Country Select Horse Sale. We are very proud to offer the set of horses that are consigned and feel that the quality of these horses are hard to come by. There are horses of all ages and stages of their life; from broke ranch horses, to finished rodeo horses.

The highest bidder is the buyer. Any dispute between two or more bidders, sole authority to settle the dispute as he sees fit is reserved by the auctioneer, including the right to reject any or all bids.

Terms of the sale are cash, bankable check or credit card.

When a horse is sold, title shall pass to the buyer.

Horses are offered for sale according to the laws of the State of Montana, and the right to bid is reserved for all sellers in this sale.

Horses are at the buyer’s expense and risk and responsibility from the time of the pur- chase, but no delivery will be made until final settlement has been made.

The sale management, auctioneers, and employees act as agents for the sellers, but assume no liability for either buyer or sellers. Any representations made by the sale management are made on behalf of the seller.

He’s seen some long days gathering cattle out of rough country and never been lame. Stinger was born, raised and trained on this ranch.

“Opal” is the perfect all around hrose for anyone that can ride a horse and likes to rope, ride, ranch or rodeo. We raised this good mare. Opal has done darn near everything you can do horseback. Branded thousands of calves, doctored hundreds of yearlings and sorted tons of pairs. We have heeled on Opal from the 8.5 to the 13 ropings. She has been breakway roped on at junior rodeos and jackpots. She has tied lots of goats and has been used for the poles, barrels, single stake and flag race. Opal is great to ranch on. Our 10 year-old rides her everywhere. Anyone that shows up can get on her and she will take care of them. She’s the one to catch when you’re in a hurry. You can turn her out for 6 months, catch her, cinch her up and get on and go do your job! Opal is 100% safe, sound and will be a great all around horse for you and your family.

This is one of the nicest little horses we have ever had. “Smokey” is gentle for anyone, super cowy and really fun to ride. He’s been used extensively on the ranch and done everything from dragging calves to the fire to roping yearlings in the pasture. This is truly a horse for the whole family. He’s been rode by all ages and levels of riders. We started heeling steers last summer and will be a nice heel horse for anyone.

“Two Bit” is a solid, easy-access at 14.1 hands and a been there, done that gelding. He’s been used in all aspects of ranch work, calving, branding, sorting and everything in between. We have asked him to work and sort cattle, rope and doctor yearlings, cows and calves, drug calves to the branding fire, gathered and rode extensively in the forest service, ponied other horses - to name some of the tasks he’s been apart of. 4 solid black feet that stand up to rocks and rough country. He crosses water, loads, trims, shoes well and is an easy keeper. Just got his teeth done and UTD on worming, vaccine and coggins.
