The place is unique in the fact you can enjoy a delicious afternoon tea followed by a visit to the Heritage Centre upstairs, which features three historical themed rooms, including mining memorabilia with a number of artefacts from Horden Pit.
Throughout the summer months the tearoom has live music August 7th and 28th and September 4th and 15th.
If you haven’t had the pleasure of visiting, you can find the Tearoom at the Horden Welfare Park entrance adjacent to Durham Avenue.
