THANK YOU

Friends of HopeTree Family Services,

Our mission and core values guide us in everything we do at HopeTree. Every service we offer or consider, every interaction and every decision are guided by our mission and our core values. We also have two goals for HopeTree, that every staff member knows well. They are:

1. To be the premier, faith-related, nonprofit, human services organization in Virginia.

2. To be the best place anyone has worked.

In order to achieve that first goal, we must provide quality services that produce good outcomes for those who are served. We must have strong relationships with our partners, donors, stakeholders and the communities we serve. But in order to achieve the first goal we must also achieve the second goal. In order to be the best place anyone has ever worked, HopeTree must be led by true servant leaders that balance high support with high challenge so our staff can grow, develop and advance their careers.

This Impact Statement shows what our Team achieved through our service to the youth, adults and families we served during Fiscal Year 2021 – 2022 (October – September). Our Therapeutic Group Home showed that residents who stayed at HopeTree for more than 5 months had an 88% successful discharge rate. HopeTree Academy graduated 100% of the seniors served. Nearly 25% of our DDM residents have lived with us for more than 20 years! Our Therapeutic Foster Care program show that 71% of the youth we served successfully completed the program and achieved their permanency goals. Our newest service, EquineAssisted Psychotherapy had 100% successful discharges for the year. And our Advancement Team increased their outreach and grant submissions and successfully achieved our challenge grant for Kessee Chapel.

I’m grateful to work with a team who cares so deeply about the individuals and families that we serve. I’m grateful to work with a Board of Trustees who always has the best interest of HopeTree in their minds. And I’m grateful to work with partners who support HopeTree though their referrals, their partnership, their donations and through their prayers.

I’m excited for the future as we continue to work towards achieving our two goals through our mission and core values. And I’m excited as we work together to serve more individuals and families in the future.

Sincerely,

2
