For HCA supporter and member, Julia Potapov, HCA is more than a barn; it’s a parade. “For the celebration of Hopkinton’s 300th Anniversary parade, our whole family took part in HCA’s float. This was our first real ‘HCA moment’,” said Potapov.
Ever since the opening of the new building in 2015, HCA has been a self-described “second home” for Julia, husband Alex and her three children, Leah, Alice, and Dan.
The Potapovs have volunteered at events, served as teacher assistants, taken classes in ballet, art, tap, and participated in theater productions.
Even Julia’s mother-in-law Nina has been bitten by the HCA bug, taking art classes, participating in the member show, and donating hand-made items for HCA’s annual gala.
“Supporting the HCA means making sure it continues to thrive. It means making sure all families in our community have access to the wonderful HCA programs,” said Potapov.
