ugene Mosley, a jazz enthusiast, resides in Northwest Louisiana, where he creates his masterful collages of history giving recognition to legends of Jazz and Entertainment. His artwork is stippling, depicted by millions of dots, meticulously arranged by hand to reveal the most memorable aspects of his legendary characters. His illustrations have been dubbed “a unique form of education through art by school officials,

who have encouraged to our youth about the legendary Jazz entertainers of all time. Most notably art teacher, Mr. Billy Adgers of Southwood High School taught Eugene this technique. Furthermore, Mr. Mosley has collaborated with dynamic art illustrator, Brian Rood, to add color to some of his masterful pointillism creations. Growing up in Las Vegas, this lifelong jazz enthusiast had youthful aspirations of becoming a celebrated artist whose

works would grace a major gallery. He was on a boyhood mission, and in spite of familial recalcitrance, Mr. Mosley is now revered as one of only five world class pointillists. The realism of his collages captures the true character of the renowned entertainment and jazz performers he depicts. Former Las Vegas Lieutenant Governor, Lorraine Hunt, recognized not only his painterly gifts but also honored his outstanding civic commitment; but then, Eugene was just upholding his commitment to the hometown that was so formative to him. His munificence has broadened the perception of this metropolis as a serious cultural center beyond its stereotypical gambling resort perception. Donating a priceless Sammy Davis, Jr. piece to the Las Vegas Under the City Lights Jazz Festival elevated the stakes and his singlehanded efforts to mentor rising artists in area classes at the University of Nevada and those enrolled in the Clark County School System enhance his desert Medici reputation. Fortunate guests of the Venetian Hotel and Casino will want to glimpse his available for purchase artwork at the respected Regis Galerie. Altovise Davis bestowed a Sammy Davis, Jr. oeuvre to Larry King on a CNN Live presentation and other bold faced names have been fortuitous recipients: Clint Holmes, Michael Jackson, Steve Harvey, Patti LaBelle, Antonio Fargas, Richard Street of The Temptations, Steve Wynn of the eponymous casino, and Jack Binion of the Horseshoe Casino, to name just a few. Childhood dreams should never be dashed especially if they are of a formidable talent. Contemporary pointillist, Eugene Mosley, had a passion for painting at a very early age and through sheer force of will has emerged as one of pop culture’s greatest portraitists. His neo-Impressionist technique, stippling, creates canvasses comprised of millions of dots and the overall mesmerizing effect and images are so evocative they have garnered the attention and accolades of the jazz and entertainment world’s best known icons. Imagine a little black book filled with the likes of Ray Charles, Wynton Marsalis, Cab Calloway, Altovise and Sammy Davis, Jr., Duke Ellington, Lucille Ball, John Wayne, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, and Steve Harvey. You dream of an autograph, they dream of a sitting.

NOW YOU SEE IT, NOW YOU DON’T. Look more closely and you may wonder just how this master conjures the magic that allows the delighted viewer to mesh these vivid colors. With a deft application of a 18 to25 point pen that’s even finer than a sewing needle, Mr. Mosley painstakingly applies hues that meld in the mind’s eye in staggeringly, arresting compositions. And as with any vision of remarkable beauty, you simply can’t stop staring. HOLLYWOOD WEEKLY 5

“one of the hardest aspects to being a celebrity artist is the constant need for perfection when doing my work”

INKING AND NOW DRINKING

So, what becomes a legend more? Well, his own cognac! Reinventing the drink of kings and giving this upscale libation a decidedly down market appeal is his latest creation! This Christmas Bloomingdales sold out of Eugene’s limited edition crystal bottles of Legacy XO 1852 Cognac Luxury barbecue sauce made with 40-50 year old Legacy Cognac with the assistance of Kenny Nadeau of the Legendary Uncle Kenny’s Barbecue of Clermont Florida, to make this the most tantalizing barbecue sauce on market today. But let’s backtrack. Fifteen years ago and with his usual determination, Mr. Mosley founded his own wine company which launched some very distinctive, quite delectable condiments such as Cab Merlot Wine Steak Sauce, Smooth Jazz Peppercorn Dressing, Classical Jazz Summer Tomato Dressing, Bourbon Street Glaze Grilling Sauce, and Apple Cinnamon Grilling Sauce. In 2013, Cognac beckoned and Mr. Mosley approached a very exclusive 5th generation owned Cognac Vineyard in Cognac, France to create his very own Brand, Legacy 1852 XO Cognac. Mr. Mosley has also created the first ever peach flavored cognac on the market called Legend Peach Falsetto. This is distributed by National Distribution Company in Atlanta, Georgia and Local Choice Lifestyle, Inc. Two years in the making, but as with everything he touches, golden going down!

OF MICE AND GREAT MEN One desert metropolis, best known for its gambling, gives greater recognition to originators. No doubt that Mickey Mouse’s creator, legendary Walt Disney, is a household name but Eugene Mosley is now sharing the limelight and the Las Vegas Walk of Stars with this artistic titan. He made history by becoming the first artist to receive this honor. But this honorarium is hardly this Louisiana native’s first. He is a local legend in his second hometown and the recipient of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce’s Walk of Stars distinction. This producer’s orbit extends well beyond impact in Louisiana and is felt just as keenly in more cosmopolitan circles. Jazz at the Lincoln Center in New York has featured his art work and he has been profiled in Jazz Times Magazine, Jet, and BET on Jazz. But gifted collagist remains humble and very tied to his roots in Las Vegas, Nevada as he continues as an active member of their Art Community and exerts influence to many aspiring designers. In fact, he has made it his mission to goad others in their expressionism. Last April, Mr. Mosley was himself the star at Art Meso, a fashion and design show benefiting Make-A-Wish Georgia. 2016 Beverly Hills Ca. Mr. Mosley received the Arts 4 Piece Life Time Award. Mosley would like to work with the kids around the world to show them that if you stay in school and follow your dreams and that dreams can come true, and also teach them his style of art. What next for Mr. Mosley in Late 2017 look for his new Book called “Connecting the Dots Beyond the Canvas” The Life Story of Eugene Mosley with the help of his friend and Legend Actor Mr. Antonio Fargas. Doctor Makes Hearing Aids Affordable for Everyone Digital Hearing Aid Costs

Sreekant Cherukuri Board Certified Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor, and MDHearingAid Founder

Board-certified Ear, Nose, and Throat physician Dr. S. Cherukuri, a graduate of the prestigious University of Michigan School of Medicine, built a very successful practice helping patients with hearing problems. “I was often frustrated by the fact that many of my patients could benefit from the use of a hearing aid, but unfortunately couldn’t afford one. I then made it my mission to change this, making quality digital hearing aids affordable for anyone who needs one.”

It’s Nearly Invisible “I knew when I developed a new line of hearing aids that one of the most important requirements would be for the device to be hard for others to see,” said Dr. Cherukuri. “One of the biggest objections people have to wearing a hearing aid is that they are embarrassed. Our design helps people get past this concern.” Digital Hearing Aid Outperforms Competitors The new medical grade hearing aid is called MDHearingAid® AIR. It is sleek, lightweight, and full of the same advanced digital technology found in higher-priced devices, but at a small fraction of the price. “I couldn’t understand why everything in the digital world kept coming down in price, like computers, TVs, and DVD players, but not digital hearing aids,” Cherukuri said. Once the doctor started to realize his dream and was able to produce a device that costs 90% less, the industry was turned upside down.

Doctors & Buyers Agree, “AIR is the Best Digital Value!”

America’s largest animal circus closes after 146 years, ADI calls on all circuses to end wild animal acts America’s largest animal circus closes after 146 years, ADI calls on all circuses to end wild animal acts Animal Defenders International (ADI) has welcomed the announcement by Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus to close its animal shows from May, citing declines in ticket sales after earlier announcing a ‘mood shift’ among their consumers .After decades of exposing the cramped, barren conditions with long periods of time tied up and chained with no freedom of movement and a brutal training culture, ADI believes that public opinion has ended the suffering. Modern audiences now have many entertainment options and do not want to see shows where animals are made to suffer for a few minutes of entertainment. Jan Creamer, ADI President, said: “After decades of exposing the suffering of animals in circuses behind the scenes, we are pleased to hear that Ringlings has finally bowed to public opinion – it was a mistake for them not to see the trend away from animal shows to human-only performances over a decade ago. Circuses can survive without the animal performances.” Studies of the use of wild animals in traveling circuses show that in the circumstances of a traveling show, circuses cannot meet the needs of wild animals. Animals are confined in small spaces, deprived of physical and social needs, spending excessive amounts of time tied or chained up, shut in transporters and unable to move around. The abnormal, stereotypical behaviors seen in circus animals, rocking, swaying and pacing, indicate that they are under stress and not coping with their environment. ADI’s video evidence has shown how these animals are forced to perform tricks through physical violence, fear and intimidation. ADI has led the campaign to expose the suffering and educate the public around the world, providing video evidence, prosecutions and expert reviews. 34 nations have reviewed the evidence and taken action to end traveling circus performances. Across 27 states in the US, 66 jurisdictions have already decided to either ban or restrict the use of wild animals in traveling shows, due to concerns about public safety and animal welfare.

ADI is supporting Representatives Ryan Costello (R-PA) and Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), who launched Traveling Exotic Animal and Public Safety Protection Act (TEAPSPA) in Congress last November. The congressmen have concluded that ending wild animal use is the only practical approach to deal with public safety issues and inspection and oversight problems repeatedly cited by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG).

ADI is active worldwide to end the suffering of captive animals in commercial use: animals used in entertainment – film, television, advertising, circuses and sport or leisure such as hunting or for products such as food or fur. Replacement of animals in scientific research; funding and promotion of non-animal advanced methods. ADI investigates, produces evidence and reports on the scientific, legal and economic issues for each case study, recommending solutions. Information is distributed to the media, public and officials. Where ADI’s evidence has been a catalyst for change, we collaborate with governments to conduct large scale seizures or rescues of wild animals in captivity and relocate them to forever homes – back to their natural habitat wherever possible worldwide movement to end use of wild animals in traveling shows.
