I, Holly Houlton as a photographer and writer myself, founded NTM in November 2020 after coming to the realisation there was a gap in the market for the opportunity of self expression when writing about photography.
This zine is a result of a very successful open call I ran when launching.
It's been really important to me to allow these talented writers to have autonomy and creative freedom, so, other than key editing; the writers' works have been kept as close to what was originally sent as possible including word count, titles and even image captions.
I hope you enjoy reading the diverse range of topics discussed in relation to the photograph; we chat to Wendy Ewald, review Tami Aftab's work, NASA images and explore a women’s photography collective in Central America.
