Camp never stops dreaming of new ways to bring the joy of childhood to our campers. And thanks to the generosity of friends, like Sherry Malone and David Shavor, Hole in the Wall can make those dreams a reality.

Thanks to Sherry and David’s amazing support, Camp is currently planning a fully inclusive playground for the Connecticut location. Filled with childhood favorites like monkey bars, swings and see-saws, the new structure encourages independent and group play through fun options for all children, regardless of their physical challenges.

“Funding the new playground was exciting to us because its innovative design amplifies accommodation of the diverse needs of Camp attendees,” Sherry said. ” As a place known for providing endless possibilities as well as safe, collaborative and joy-filled experiences, the new playground area will provide barrier-free recreation so that children with varying medical challenges can laugh, interact and have fun together, regardless of their differing abilities.”

Construction will get started in the late summer of 2023, with plans for the playground to begin welcoming campers and their families in the fall.
