Zarb School of Business, Department of Management & Entrepreneurship Introduction My name is Shu Yang, Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship in Department of Management and Entrepreneurship, Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra. As an entrepreneurship scholar, I strongly believe that innovative, selfmotivated entrepreneurs are driving forces of our modern economy, who do not only create economic values but also generate profound social impact. Thus, I am dedicated to producing high-quality research to help entrepreneurs identify opportunities and tackle our urgent social and sustainability problems in the business way. As a leading author, my research has been published in the Journal of Business Venturing (JBV), the #1 journal in the field, and the Entrepreneurship Research Journal (ERJ). I started teaching ENTR 115-Introduction to Global Entrepreneurship in 2018 Fall, and currently, I’m the Course Captain of ENTR 115, where students use the Business Model Canvas to work in teams and develop their own startup ventures. I’m also working in an AI-powered smart insole startup as a co-founder.
