The Seeking Purpose Series gives Hofstra students the unique opportunity to hear from and interact with professionals from a wide variety of fields who have created not only a career path for themselves, but also an inspiring professional journey. These accomplished individuals share experiences from their time as undergraduates to their current roles, including the important decisions, unexpected twists and turns, and meaningful milestones along the way. INTERCULTURAL ENGAGEMENT & INCLUSION (IEI) presents

Diversity, Dialogue and Desserts (DDD) Series

The Diversity, Dialogue and Desserts Series is a discussion-oriented forum that provides an opportunity to discuss diversity in a fun, relaxed and safe space. The series covers topics revolving around social justice. IEI provides monthly programs centering around the topic of that specific heritage month (February: Black History Month, March: Women’s HERstory Month, and April: Asian/Pacific Islander Month). Each of the dialogues is facilitated by a member of the IEI staff and a guest facilitator, including faculty, students, alumni, and non-IEI staff members.

Friday Flicks (Film Screening) Series

The Friday Flicks Series offers an opportunity to view and discuss a variety of films that cover topics of identity and experience revolving around social justice themes. These monthly programs center around the topic of that specific heritage month (February: Black History Month, March: Women’s HERstory Month, and April: Asian/Pacific Islander Month). Following each viewing is a dialogue facilitated by a member of the IEI staff and a guest facilitator.
